After a 1000+ hours of BTD6 it's nice to go back to my beloved Monkey Apprentice with lightning and whirlwinds. Monkey City also has the best soundtrack of the Bloons franchise imo!
I thought Bloons Monkey City was just going to be another simple Bloons game. I was wrong. At first, it looks familiar. You have monkeys, you have bloons, and you have towers to upgrade. But instead of simply playing one level after another, Monkey City gives you an entire city to build, expand, and defend. And somehow, that makes Bloons feel completely different. What I love most is the progression. You start with a small little city, and slowly you unlock new areas, new buildings, new towers, and new upgrades. Every time you expand, it feels like you're actually making progress. The battles are still classic Bloons fun. Setting up the perfect defense, watching waves of bloons get destroyed, and desperately trying to survive when things get difficult never gets old. But the city-building adds another layer. You're not just thinking about how to beat the next round. You're thinking about what to build next. Which upgrades are worth it? Which areas should you capture? How can you make your city stronger? The game also has that classic Bloons charm. The colorful graphics, goofy monkeys, ridiculous towers, and satisfying explosions make it hard to take anything too seriously. I've played strategy games with much more complicated systems. I've played city builders with much bigger maps. I've played tower defense games with more intense battles. But Bloons Monkey City somehow combines all of those ideas into something that's incredibly easy to get addicted to. You start by thinking, "I'll play for a few minutes." Then you look at the clock. Three hours are gone. Bloons Monkey City isn't the biggest or most complicated strategy game out there. It doesn't need to be. It's simple, colorful, satisfying, and ridiculously fun. Some games make you build a city. Some games make you defend against enemies. Bloons Monkey City makes you do both—and somehow makes popping thousands of bloons feel like urban planning. 100% recommended.
Сначала просто поставил посмотреть, что за игра про обезьян. Через несколько часов понял, что у меня уже целый город, а обезьяны получают больше внимания, чем я. 🐒 Залипательно и весело. Для такой игры — вообще отлично.
For a port of a mobile game, it does the job, but I feel like Ninja Kiwi could've done more with the desktop version. If you're looking for just playing the game, this does the job well enough and adds more to the actual tower defense aspect, but you should probably play the mobile version for a better town building experience. Despite that, I actually have gotten more hooked on this version compared to the mobile version somewhat.
clash of bloons
really funny how just attacking people gains more money than defending loses. I upgraded my offense while my defense is lacking, but I'm still making money. Very fun game, even if you can only play here and there.
pretty dope game play it on almost any device i have
