RIP Major Updates, you will be missed. Arguably one of the most intriguing card game designs ever, and with amazing card arts and designs, really sad to see it cease development. I am hopeful maybe one day we can bring it back if we give it enough support but obviously would be hard to accumulate such things without major creators of any kind showing any interest...
I really wanted to like this game, and I did, but then it died really early into it's lifetime (ironically not long after I spent money on it just to have a chance to experience more than one type of deck) and now it's basically unplayable because only 5 other people regularly play it. Don't even bother.

When it first came out, i thought "hm this game looks fun", i was wrong i dont play this game anymore and while i was, it just sucked and most of the time i would just play for 5 minutes, if you want a better version just play the card mode from btd battles.
ass game
I don't care too deeply about the Pay-to-Win aspects, the dead playerbase, or how it treats new players (although these are issues). Instead, the problem I have is how badly this performs as a card game at all The real issue with this game, I think, is that it feels awful to play. Each turn is slow and uninteresting, playing out at a snail's pace, and you feel this lack of urgency whether it's your turn or not. This wouldn't be such a big issue if it weren't for a couple factors; Firstly, this game is extremely taxing on devices compared to almost any other card game. There are much prettier card games that run fantastically, while even booting up this game has my laptop's fans whirling. I also played this game on my phone, and a single match can drain upwards of 10, 15 or even 20% of my phone's battery; that's insane. You probably think I have crummy devices from hearing this, and while they're probably below modern standards, 8GB of DDR4 RAM with a 3GB graphics card should be enough to run what is, again, a CARD GAME without worrying about potentially overheating my laptop. I'm not 200+ rounds into a match of Logs in hit game Bloons Tower Defense 6, I'm on round 1 against the AI in miss game Bloons Card Storm Second off, matches in general are a slog. In fairness, I don't consider myself to be a patient person, but matches typically last around 20 minutes, with the potential to go on for way, way, WAY longer depending on what kinds of decks are being played. This isn't a ladder issue; the meta itself often demands a match take 30+ minutes, sometimes close to an hour, with each turn only lasting up to 90 seconds. Other strategy games can eat up way more time with a single turn, but you have to consider how this game performs during this time, along with there being an issue with how much time is wasted on really mundane actions. Spawning units, mediocre card animations, and even playing the cards themselves takes up significant time. Hell, sometimes those 90 seconds you get in a turn aren't enough because of how much time is wasted on this stuff, on top of having to manually drag where each tower shoots instead of being able to do so in a couple clicks/taps. These aren't just problems with the gameplay, by the way; this extends to how you interface with menus and more. This game just functions poorly and isn't made for its intended audience There's also other things I find annoying, such the maze-like menus, the terrible UI, and forced online play (and then you'll "disconnect" while playing against the AI 💀). On top of the many other issues that other people are talking about (again, this game's playerbase is non-existent lol), I find the whole experience underwhelming at best and frustrating at worst If this game had a "2D" mode or something that heavily reduced both the amount of pressure it puts on your device and how many animations you needed to sit through, Bloons Card Storm would be far more worth playing. As it stands, I can't bring myself to put serious time into a game that feels this bad to play
