About
BlightFog is a short, narrative driven RPG, where you travel across a post apocalyptic world on a bike while taking care of an infant.

On the way you will meet other anthropomorphic characters. Solve conflicts and build relationships through dialogues.
Allocate resources between you and the child, find unique items that will influence dialogues and give you new ways to approach different situations.
Your goal is to save the child's mother and get them both to safety.
Will you chose the longer and safer paths, or risk to save time and fuel and take the shorter but more dangerous ones?
Will you let the child starve or sacrifice your own well-being for him? Will you be a pretend-hero, a coward or a fuel-drinking madman who refuses to wear clothes?

This could have been really interesting. The world-building intrigues me and I think the setting has a lot of potential, but the actual game execution is garbage. One hour in and I've already encountered a significant system settings bug and a game soft-lock. First was the volume setting. After moving the slider to 75% I returned to the menu only to have sound suddenly blasting out of my speakers. Returning to the system settings page, I found that the volume slider had set itself to 1000% Yes, a thousand percent. If I had been listening through headphones, that had the potential for actual hearing damage if that system's volume protection failed or wasn't present. Next was the game soft-lock. Very early on, you find a bike. You need it to progress. But one of your choices is to keep looking around and if you do that, that's it, playthrough over, start a new game. Once you get off the bike to look around, you can never get on it again. That option is never available, so you're stuck and further progression is impossible. You don't die, you don't lose, you're just stuck behind what is obviously a game-breaking bug. So, it's a neat idea. It's an interesting world with many possibilities. But it's very much a Beta game with some serious issues to work out. Maybe give it a try in a year or two? The developer doesn't seen active any more, though, so I expect we'll see this abandoned.
disco elysium animal people edition. to start off, i think the gameplay and style is phenomenal: i am a big fan of how this game highlights the world in black, white and gray. the majority of the colors are reserved for the protagonist's emotions and sensations, alongside the only location considered safe in the whole game. the art style is gritty and coated in ink-like shadows, giving it the sense of playing a graphic novel and it helps to immerse into the world and its story perfectly. my only critic is the story: i found it very fascinating as a concept but the dialogue left me lacking. this is a short game, i finished the first ending in an hour, and understandably it can't expand on every character inner world. this results in quick events, informations being laid out from the start in an anticlimatic way, and the sense of having flat characters. although everybody's personalities are well established it did make me a little disappointed, adding that i am not a big fan of the dialogue choices that felt a little too cliché. I do not think in the slightest this is a bad game, i enjoyed it for what it is; however i think that if the story was worked on and expanded it would truly be phenomenal.
Pros: Cool visuals Nice music (It can be very loud so turn down the volume before playing) Short game Heavily inspired by Disco Elysium Cons: It softlocks which is very annoying Dragging items into inventory is a little finicky sometimes
great mental health of this game is somewhere between insane and funny (kinda like me) but characters have no tails :(
Cool little short experience Story-wise: really good, doesnt drag out and waste your time its just enough so you can empathise with the characters and it can get its point across Gameplay-wise: not too much gameplay, succeded in making me feel on edge the whole time despite not being truly survival. Kinda sucks that the camera has no xray effects when your character is behind a roof like most 'isometric' games have and the inventory system is really confusing at first. Overall a really cool game that can be finished easily in one sitting with a great story and message. The cherry on top definetly being soundtrack made of songs by Keep It Together
A Bizarre Short Experience. The world in the game seems so cool. I liked the story about the machines and everything
Доволі атмосферна гра
