hella fun, thats all i can say
one of the best roguelike games of all time and it hurts that not many people know it. as far as i know, blazblue was NEVER as popular as all the other fighting games (specifically Guilty Gear, considering its the same studio) so it makes sense why. buut, still; this game's combat is amazing. the power fantasy it offers is different from its peers (like the original RoR or Dead Cells) because blazblue was a fighting game, this game also operates on fighting game logic; so you end up smacking and beating the enemies around which feels amazing when you have 5 dashes, 3 jumps, airbone variants, 2 legacy skills and much more to chain together. that might seem like a lot, since mechanics are generally why people cant get into fighting games; but from what ive seen no character really has a crazy skill floor to begin with (havent gotten any dlc besides Bullet because she is sexy lol). the only character that played out different for me was hakumen, since he is very much heavier and slower than everyone and also relies on reactive gameplay (blocking/parrying). normally that isnt a problem, its just that i can turn my brain off with faster characters and let go off random ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ combos.

its ok. hard to see what's going on, convoluted, but otherwise all good.
