A surprisingly challenging little platformer. Has a good atmosphere, good music, a lot of well designed puzzles and challenges! Still stuck on quite a challenging part but I think it's great for a nice chill playthrough experience !
Solid platforming. Rather short. Blanky 2 when?
Had a lot of fun with this one, deceptively challenging and more-ish!
A challenging bite sized platformer with a sweet story. Some jumps will take you a ton of tries but the run backs are usually not too far. Definitely pick it up if you want a little platforming challenge for 2-3 hours.
It's hard but rewarding. I enjoyed the story and the gameplay reminded me of Super Meat Boy at times.
TLDR: Excellent little game you can complete in 1-2 hours. Blanky is a challenging horror platformer with unique mechanics through unlockable skills that in combination makes for a dynamic and fun experience once you get the hang of mixing the abilities together. The story is very good and the levels combined with the sound effects and ambience are immersive. The music is really good as well - my favorite is the boss music, which is super dramatic. Worthy of a child's nightmare! It's a short 1-2 hour game, and the price is worth it for a nice bite-sized evening game!
Bought to support a small indie dev and surprised at a few things. The game itself is quite challenging, and requires some precision platforming, but each stage is a bitesize piece so once you clear it you don't have to repeat the same thing too many times. Music and sound are well done, with a high amount of polish. Haven't stumbled upon any bugs or issues and it plays quite well. Art style is cute and cozy and has a lot of atmosphere. Recommend to both support an indie dev and to enjoy the game. :)
A surprisingly challenging little platformer. You have to be quick on the controls to get through some of the areas, but failing is never frustrating as it doesn't send you too far back. The art style is reminiscent of the platformers I used to play when I was a kid, but modernised, so it's a nice bit of nostalgia. If you are looking for a game to wile away a few hours it's worth grabbing.
Just finished playing this game on stream and whilst not the longest game (around 3 hours or so) I was super pleasantly surprised! The game is tricky and does NOT hold your hand like a tonne of newer titles do which I really appreciated. It does a very good job of *teaching* you how to play without *showing* you how to play which is super refreshing. It has a very simplistic art style, but looks really great and the music is impeccably good. The controls are equally simple, but eloquent and so satisfying once you mastered them to complete a level. And whilst only 3 or so hours long, the story actually hits home pretty hard touching on the topic of grief (hit myself especially hard). If you enjoyed Celeste, you will 100% enjoy this!
Both a challenging and relaxing game. It's kind of a perfect game to just switch on for 20 min and attempt to get through some levels. I struggled a bit with the controls at first, especially the wall jumps, but it doesn't take too long to get used to them. Absolutely worth the price for some great fun. I love the atmosphere and music. Gets the right balance of mysterious and yet creepy.
