Blanket Fort

I really wanted to like this game - I really did. I had it wish-listed, and finally bought it yesterday. Unfortunately, my experience wasn't a great one. When it was my turn to "seek", I couldn't get passed the end table on the way back, would get stuck, and even teleported to the top of the map above all the cushions. Here, I chose to load the last checkpoint, which ended up just starting me over from the beginning. On my second attempt, I got back to the hide and seek part, when I went to hide, my screen went black/blue, heard a noise that I can only assume was the jumpscare of the bear finding me. But, unfortunately, I saw nothing. My screen remained black, and I was now also stuck. With some fixes, I don't doubt this game would have some amazing potential. I did choose to refund it, but maybe I'll try it again down the line after some more patches and fixes. I would still recommend giving it a try.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (Highly Recommended) I went into BLANKET FORT expecting something cute and a little spooky, and it ended up being exactly that, but also way more immersive than I expected. The atmosphere is honestly the standout for me. Everything feels so warm and cozy at first, the soft lighting, the glow, the textures of the blankets and pillows, it really captures that childhood “blanket fort” feeling perfectly. The art style is super charming, and you can tell a lot of care went into making the world feel both comforting and slightly unsettling at the same time. Exploration was one of my favorite parts. Running around through this huge maze of blankets and crawling into tighter and tighter spaces kept me constantly engaged. It does a really good job of making you feel curious, but also a little nervous the deeper you go. That balance is what makes it work so well. And then there’s the tension. The game lulls you into this calm, safe feeling… and then slowly starts to twist it. The mechanic with your teddy adds this subtle but really effective layer of unease. It’s not just “scary for the sake of scary”, it builds tension in a way that actually made me feel on edge. Overall, it’s such a good blend of cozy and creepy. If you like games that mix cute aesthetics with real moments of tension and fear, I definitely recommend giving this one a try.
