This was a surprising hidden gem. Not only is the level design incredibly intricate, but new branches or shortcuts appear with each task you do. But the tasks themselves were never overwhelming, giving you a balance of completing them, while stacking new ones that you would instinctively have an idea of where to get the next one. And that was act one. Acts two and three really ramped up the horror, leading to a shocking ending. A really great game that more people need to see.
lovable plush friends 10/10 tiny horse 100000000/10 i wish all but one character were real i laughed i shaked i cried, puzzles and spooks are my favorite, this game is an incredible feat for its small team and as their first release, you can see all the heart that went into every single plush~ perfect way to spend a cold spooky fall night also man do i luv circular stories go play blanketfort!! do not walk! RUN
A fun blend of 'cozy' and 'sinister' with a healthy dose of maze-y questing. The handholding is minimal but everything you need is in evidence if you're paying attention. The sound design really keeps you on your toes and builds suspense, and I loved the art and lighting. You feel like a kid in their own imaginary world! Will be looking out for more from the devs, nice work :)
So Leude. Versetzt euch mal in meine Lage. Sorry, wieder abgelenkt vom Chat. Bitte patchen. Ouhwee.
Final Verdict: 70/100
Mid: 0-74 (0-74%) Its the first game released by stingray studios and I was excited to try it out. Its a horror game that delivers to lovers of the genre. The game feels indie. So, if you're into that you'll feel at home. If you're like me and not much of a fan of horror games. Might not be the game for you. Great starting point however. Only up from here for the devs. We can only wait to see what's next. Ill give this a Recommended to lovers of the genre. Solid horror game. Somewhere around 80-90 minutes of content. Teddy would never do anything bad. The level design is great with the inter connected rooms.
"i done caught yo ass talkin to that giraffe bish, you ain't slick" - the teddy bear, probably Innocence is a virtue, and it's a fair enough sentiment that as we get older, we are exposed to enough darkness in the world that the innocence slowly melts away. Blanket Fort is a game by Stingray Studios, putting you in the place of a young child exploring a fascinating, colourful, exuberant fort populated by adorable little plushies that the child imagines have their own personalities and individual wants and needs. What starts as you spending time with your teddy bear in the fort grows into you assisting other stuffed animals as you attempt to figure out what's behind the "Star Door". As you progress, you find that your fun-loving, adventurous teddy bear might be a little possessive, and if he can't have you... No-one can. The game is a fascinating foray into (what I gather as) loss of innocence, early childhood trauma, and abuse while hiding behind bright, whimsical eyes. The dichotomy between the two feels surreal, and almost cruel as some of the jumps and the animation really shine even when it's infrequent. The game is brand new, it's bound to have a few bugs. I sorta bumped into some parts where I struggled to move around, or struggled to grab certain things, or when attacked by the monster the hit-box seemed quite odd. But I think, for a short, cute (cutenessmayvary) experience, Blanket Fort plays quite well. The graphics are about average but decent enough, the environments capture both the cosiness and claustrophobia of an actual blanket fort, and the sound design is quietly wholesome but eerie. A really interesting effort and one of the more creative efforts I've seen this year. 8.1/10
I loved all the cute little stuffed animals and especially all the chickens. I enjoyed exploring the blanket fort. Everything was so colorful and helping the animals is fun. When the game gets scary it is quite terrifying. That part I did not enjoy as much. However, it was a fun game and I would definitely play it again. I do wish I could join the chicken picnic though.
Having now beat this bug ridden game I can confidently say; this game sucks. You get a ridiculously long tutorial section to explain the two or three simple mechanics that basically never actually come up in core gameplay. This is followed by a horribly boring section that is FAR too long where you basically just do tedious backtracking fetch quests for stuffed animals that bug out and don't work half the time, making it take even longer. This entire section is devoid of even the smallest bit of horror until right at the end where you get one of the most laughably bad horror stings I've ever seen where a static 3d model of the "monster" is just glued to a doorway where you can walk right up to it and clip through it without it doing anything. Then finally after this section, the "scary" part of the game starts in which you wander around a pitch black floating maze that wastes your time for no reason, escape a monster in a maze where it will either ignore you completely or clip through a wall to find you, and see various "spooky" decorations (stuffed animals without eyes, SCARY stuff right?!). Oh and don't forget the BIGGEST scare of them all, a room fill with stuffed animals handing from some tentacle ♥♥♥♥ while dripping with blood. I literally laughed out loud at this section because of how bad it was. The game finally ends with the most "this game was made by fnaf fans" jump scare of all time. I paid basically nothing for this game and still got robbed. The devs at least seem to be good people and are clearly passionate about their game, which I can't knock them for. But holy crap charging $12 CAD for this is a crime. Don't waste your time or your money.
Good short and fun horror game. I've been workshopping my scream for a while, this game really helped me dial it in so my neighbors don't think i'm a small child in distress anymore.
