got me to appreciate the original half-life, its not anywhere near as revolutionary but its really fun and memorable without the jank of the original.

I expected more from a remaster. Enemiest still blink around left and right, as if friction is just a suggestion (eyehounds especially). Headcrabs are just straight port from HL2, no new sounds even. When you swing the crowbar the camera hard-jumps to right before smoothing out, which is terrible to watch as you hit very quickly with it. And last thing of note, I had to turn off "HUD postprocessing" EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. I launched the game, because for no reason this one setting did not save between sessions. Every other setting saved properly. Just play normal HL at this point, nevermind the new graphics.

[h2] Uma Obra de Arte [/h2] Refizeram um a um o primeiro Half-life e expandiram completamente os cenários, é surreal passar por cenários clássicos e ainda sim sentir uma estranha sensação de nostalgia e novidade ao mesmo tempo. SURREAL. Já que a Valve não quer fazer HF3 poderia terceirizar para esses caras, merecem cada elogio, espero que um dia faça o remake de Opposing Force.

Everything about this game was epic. Especially Xen. The music is so great I listen to the soundtrack regularly. Maybe we don't get HL3 but we got this and I love that.

Got this for $5 on Steam Sale, it's an amazing remaster but it has it's flaws The graphics are beautiful, the guns feel fun, the voice actors are awesome, and the story is amazing. But the mods are kind of bland, the base game HECU got their drip butchered, and whenever I run the game back there's a lot of purple and black boxes for the textures messing up or something. Buy this game when you want an amazing story and a good introduction into the franchise or if you just want a remake from those eye straining HL1 graphics. 8.1/10

Great way to get a "modern" Half-Life experience! Xen drags, though, especially the Interloper chapter.
