BDO is an extremely grindy game, with life skilling and combat. That being said, there is so much to do in this game, if you're tired of fighting, you can go tame horses, do some trade routes, pick flowers, make potions, cook food, go hunting, boating/bartering, or socialize with random players in town. I tell myself I'm going to work on Ecology, but along the way, I get side tracked if I see a horse in the wild and end up taming horses for awhile, and then I end up picking flowers or killing harmless creatures to butcher them for their meat to spend some energy. I'm never truly bored of BDO, but if you're like me, and don't have your ducks in a row, it can be overwhelming. I've been playing this game going on 10 years now, even if I did lose my original account back when Pearl Abyss bought the game. The game does seem to be getting more "new player friendly", but the time and effort it takes to get to end game is well over 1 year or longer. If you're looking to rush to end game, this game isn't for you if you're just starting, because this is a lengthy game and everything is time gated. With farming, energy, knowledge, combat, etc. Still a great game overall though, and one I always have running in the background training horses or fishing for passive income if I'm not actively playing at that moment. Highly recommend if you enjoy games with a wide variety of things to do.
