I. Love. This. Game. It deserves all the praise, the Puzzle design, the map as well as the progression. me and my friends have 100% this game, and it was definitely worth it. I Recommend this game if you just want to play with friends to talk or to solve puzzles. Massive props to the developers for making such a simple concept into this masterpiece.
I really want to play this game very badly and is my cup of tea, but only problem is the people I know don´t play this game, and was personally surprised there wasn´t an option for singleplayer at all in this game. Any strangers wanna play with me? xD
Big Walk was/is a very fun coop experience. The puzzles are very fun and the progression and exploration feel worth while and rewarding. Granted, this game is also heavily dependent on having friends to play with and being positive about things. I'd kill to forget everything and play this game again or, better yet, for House House to make more for this game. Doubt they will as this game is a very nice contained experience but it'd be nice. Not much more to say but to the one person in the group that'll see the cutscene, I hope it makes you feel as special as it made me. To anyone that's reading this and intends to play the game afterwards, have fun!!
Amazeballs
This game IS about walking and talking. If you see anyone saying, 'it needs a checkpoint system because I keep falling down' or even 'when you fall it's really hard to get back up' just think, 'dude it's literally called big walk, sybau'. It's a good game, if you get left behind by your friends that's no bigge, You can have fun trying to find them again! And when you do, you can hear every thing you missed out on while you were gone. For me I just play 2 player so if we get lost we have to find each other, otherwise we can't progress. Some complaints people usually say are: 'I can barely hear my friends even though I have turned up my volume to 100%' well that's why they added WALKIE TALKIES .
Even though you get walkie talkies AFTER getting through the tutorial, you don't really need them in the tutorial area, since it's a quite small area.
And 'I don't like only being able to only carry one item at a time' and I get it because
you only get the backpacks after the tutorial area,
but (for me at least) it makes it more fun, but also, YOU CAN PUT THINGS ON THE GROUND AND GET THEM LATER. Hopefully you have fun playing this game, the same way I am, ofc at this time im not even close to the end, but because of that I'm really excited for what this game has to offer, and like it says in the trailer, 'it's a game about walking and talking'.
incredible game, LOVED playing this and a great mix of all sorts of puzzles with friends and diff lobbies. but a couple of launch bugs where after a certain point a player can disconnect while seeing themselves in the game, while others cannot see them. Can happen alone or to multiple in a lobby.
Spongebob big walk shoes okay
For a game about playing with friends, it's was lovely to just play with just myself and my partner. We 100% the game, and I can tell you I loved every second of it. It lets you trek off into the wilderness, and something I enjoyed in my adventure was getting too far ahead and loosing myself. They don't barrier you with completion walls or anything, if you see something that interests you just climb your heart out to get it. If you wan't to play with your special someone, please do. I got to make fun memories like getting angry at sound puzzles, laughing missing the jump and yeeting myself off a cliff, and finally getting to the end and sadly saying that big goodbye. Every step felt like a hard earned accomplishment and every hour played made me appreciate the big walks in life, for that I will treasure this game. Take that big walk.
Finished the second area, here are my thoughts: When I first saw it I debated if it was going to be entertaining with all the walking involved. I decided to give it a shot and bought my friends the game and we tried it and enjoyed it more than we expected! Has much more depth to it than I initially thought, in terms of controls and voice echo working in other places besides just caves and enclosed spaces giving some comedic moments as someone falls or jumps off a ledge. It's also fun when your friend is two hundred yards away constantly closing a box that you need something out of, and staring at you through a telescope as you flail your arms around in the distance and point to the box since you don’t have a radio to yell at them for it. Overall it’s a nice relaxing game (until your friends decide otherwise) and is an enjoyable experience for anyone looking for exploration and puzzles… and maybe call your friends a couple names along the way. Issues: The only issue so far is the audio problem that many others have already complained about. Thankfully the devs acknowledged it and have announced they are looking into fixing it. As of now it's not the worst, but definitely could be improved. Once that’s fixed the game will be much more enjoyable.
