Beetle Ninja

This game should be more popular. Such a chill game that you can vibe out. Interesting setting, i left the game wishing you could know more about the other ninjas and our titular character. The only caveat that i have is that combat can become quite tedious, but the good thing is that almost all combat is optional and you don't really need it to get stronger, since the game doesn't have a Exp System. Although, even though the game doesn't have an exp system, you will have to get into fights to gain loot so you can sell them, since every party member that you can have is somewhat temporary, everyday you need to hire different Ninjas at the pub, with them varying widly on how you can utilize them (Some are glass cannons, some are slow but pack a punch, some are healers, some are debuffers, etc.). After you hire them, you need to rehire them whenever you want to go on a mission (Their rehire fee tends to be much lower than their hiring fee, except for some specific characters). The Mother 3 inspiration is really apparent, so if you enjoy that style, this game is also for you!

The graphics are great (when they're not extremely derivative traces of Mother characters), but it's got spelling mistakes, no WASD movement, awful timed combat, and the game doesn't make any sense. The first mission has me walking around a cornfield where these bean monsters are roaming. They don't hurt me and I can't attack or interact with them, but I also keep randomly teleporting to a random spot to "hide" before jumping out again. Then I very clumsily cut a giant bean in half with a karate chop and the mission's over. What just happened? Why wasn't that a combat encounter? That didn't teach me anything.
