Beep's Escape

Lovely game with great game play and graphics. Took my right back to my childhood of playing Dizzy games.

Beep's Escape is a very charming game that really does channel the ZX Spectrum feel perfectly. It's an adventure game with some platforming and puzzle solving by using various items in the correct place. You have a limited inventory space of three items you can carry, which may be off-putting for some, but it's not as bad as it seems. A good tip is to drop items near the elevators so you know where they are so you can get what item you need to progress. It's a little gem made with a lot of love and I definitely think it deserves more recognition!

Had been waiting for a long time to play this one... not disappointed at all. True to the mid/late 1980s spirit. Beyond pixel art & scan lines, it captures the spirit, only kids from the 80s can make games like Beep's Escape. Boxing Gloves, obvious Dizzy reference there :-) Still stuck with the nuclear reactor, the 3rd floor security bots... the sound in barrels on first floor? Joystick? RS232 keyboard? Oh - and that floppy to play a minigame in the game... brilliant. Soundtrack is equally perfect as a single score runs in loop, just like in the days. No need for more, its tune is born perfect. A real indie gem!

Милая игра про забавного робота. Классная музыка. Экран загрузки возвращает в детство, хочется даже чтобы загрузка длилась подольше - реальные программы и игры с кассет загружались всё-таки дольше. Есть сохранения, поэтому за жизни (энергию) можно сильно не переживать.

A love letter to old ZX Spectrum games without ever feeling like it's taking the wrong things from them.

I am not at all familiar with ZX Spectrum titles, but I am a sucker for good pixel art and I *love* Beep's Escape. Having a great time. Definitely need to take some notes on where I'm dropping the items I can't carry so I don't lose track if I'm going to make my escape!!

Very atmospheric with bags of humour thrown in for good measure. Excellent story line; Play-ability is top notch allowing the player to move in mid air when executing a jump. Locations are beautifully detailed with great use of colour. I love the spot effects and the music. I dreamt that someone somewhere would eventually release something like this and now it has finally happened!!! Great Stuff!! Deserves to be a classic! A Crash... !!!!! Still playing it and loving it!!!

How would I describe it in one word? Puzzlevania. You get exactly what you see, and if you want that retro vibe, sitting alone in front of a screen in a dark room, slowly pushing forward in small increments, this is the game for you.
