Recommendation only valid if you have finished the previous part, Beach Bounce, and enjoyed it. Beauty Bounce is a short sequel to the Beach Bounce. You still play as Tomo and the story happens at the familiar beach resort. Only three of the previous girls remained but you there are some new ones instead. Writing quality is on similar level so if you've enjoyed the previous instalment you should like this one as well. It is a shorter story and there are fewer endings but it is still fairly decent slice of life. Donm't expect any plot twists or surprises though. The character art is and backgrounds are from the same artist/s so it's still about average. It's still anime style touched with western aesthetics. I wish there was some improvement but at least there is no decline. Hence, my only complaint is lack of effort. The music is almost the same as in the prequel. It fits the story for the most part but is forgettable. Due to it not being memorable I'm not even sure if there are any new tracks even though I have just played it, eh... Oh, well, at least none was annoying. The only issue I have encountered was with achievements. Just to warn you then: if you've played Nutaku version on the same PC before the Steam version achievements won't activate. Overall, what we have here is a brief sequel of slice of life variety with similar quality as the previous part. If you've enjoyed the prequel you might as well try it: 5/10

Beauty Bounce, developed and published by Dharker Studios, is a short comedic visual novel that combines light romance, slice-of-life storytelling, and playful fan-service within a colorful seaside setting. Acting as a follow-up to the studio’s earlier title Beach Bounce, the game continues the story of Tomo, a young man who unexpectedly finds himself responsible for managing his late grandmother’s beach resort. While the premise might suggest a management simulation or business-focused narrative, the game primarily unfolds as a visual novel driven by character interactions, comedic dialogue, and branching relationship paths. The result is a casual narrative experience that focuses more on humor and character moments than on complex gameplay mechanics. The story begins when Tomo inherits the struggling seaside resort and discovers that the property is in serious financial trouble. The bank has already placed significant pressure on the business, and without a creative solution the resort may soon be forced to close its doors permanently. In an attempt to save the business and attract attention during the off-season, Tomo decides to organize a beauty pageant that could bring publicity and new customers to the resort. What begins as a practical plan quickly becomes complicated as Tomo must manage not only the logistics of the event but also the personalities and relationships of the women who work at the resort. The narrative largely revolves around the interactions between Tomo and the staff members who help run the resort. Each character has a distinct personality, background, and set of motivations that gradually unfold through conversations and story events. Some characters are confident and flirtatious, while others are shy, mischievous, or unpredictable. These personality differences create many of the game’s humorous moments, as the characters frequently clash, tease one another, or create awkward situations that Tomo must navigate as both a manager and a friend. The tone of the story rarely becomes serious for long, instead leaning heavily into comedic misunderstandings and playful dialogue. Gameplay follows the familiar structure of a traditional visual novel. Players progress through the story primarily by reading dialogue and occasionally making choices that influence the direction of the narrative. These choices determine which character route the player will experience, ultimately leading to several different endings. Each romantic route focuses on building a relationship with one of the main female characters, revealing additional backstory and personal moments that deepen the connection between the characters. Because each route highlights different scenes and interactions, the game encourages multiple playthroughs in order to see every possible outcome. Although the game is not mechanically complex, it does include a light sense of progression tied to Tomo’s efforts to keep the resort running. Conversations about finances, the beauty pageant, and the resort’s reputation appear throughout the narrative, giving the story a loose structure that connects the romantic plotlines together. These elements help the game feel slightly more grounded, as the characters are not simply interacting for the sake of romance but also working toward a shared goal of saving the business. The cast of characters is one of the game’s strongest features. Dharker Studios places considerable emphasis on expressive dialogue and exaggerated personalities that give each character a memorable presence. Many scenes focus on comedic banter between characters, with jokes and playful teasing forming the backbone of the narrative. This lighthearted tone helps the story remain entertaining even though the overall plot is relatively simple. Visually, Beauty Bounce features vibrant anime-inspired artwork that emphasizes expressive character portraits and colorful environments. The resort setting provides a bright and cheerful backdrop for the story, filled with sunny beach scenes and casual resort locations. Key moments in the narrative are highlighted with special illustrated images that showcase the characters in greater detail. These illustrations can be unlocked and revisited through the game’s gallery system, rewarding players who explore multiple story paths. The art style plays an important role in conveying the tone of the game. Characters are drawn with exaggerated expressions that match the comedic nature of the dialogue, and the overall presentation maintains a light, playful aesthetic. While the visuals are relatively simple compared to large-scale visual novels, they are polished enough to support the story’s emphasis on personality and humor. The audio design complements the relaxed resort setting with upbeat background music that maintains a cheerful atmosphere throughout the story. The soundtrack features light melodies that match the casual tone of the narrative, helping to reinforce the game’s comedic and romantic moments. Although the game does not include full voice acting, the combination of expressive writing and character artwork allows the characters’ personalities to come across clearly during conversations. One of the defining characteristics of Beauty Bounce is its sense of humor. The game rarely takes itself seriously, often embracing exaggerated scenarios and self-aware dialogue that highlight the absurdity of certain situations. This playful approach helps distinguish it from more dramatic visual novels and makes the story feel more like a romantic comedy than a traditional romance narrative. However, the game’s short length is one of its most noticeable limitations. A single playthrough can often be completed in about an hour, which means players must replay the story several times to experience all of the available routes and endings. While the branching structure adds replay value, the overall amount of content remains fairly limited compared to longer visual novels in the genre. Another minor drawback is the relatively simple choice system. While the decisions players make do influence which character route they experience, the branching paths themselves are not particularly complex. Many of the routes follow similar story structures, which can make repeated playthroughs feel somewhat predictable once players become familiar with the game’s format. Despite these limitations, Beauty Bounce succeeds at delivering exactly what it sets out to offer: a short, lighthearted visual novel filled with colorful characters, playful humor, and multiple romantic storylines. Its focus on comedy and character-driven interactions makes it an easy game to enjoy in short sessions, particularly for players who appreciate casual storytelling experiences. Overall, Beauty Bounce is best described as a relaxed and humorous visual novel that prioritizes charm and entertainment over depth or complexity. While its brief runtime and simple mechanics may prevent it from standing alongside larger narrative titles, its vibrant presentation and entertaining characters make it a pleasant diversion for fans of character-focused visual novels. For players looking for a quick and playful romantic comedy set in a seaside resort, the game offers a cheerful and approachable experience. Rating: 7/10
Короткая скучная неинтересная игра с некрасиво прорисованными персонажами (и Леной из БЛ) с историей про долг, наследство и пляж. Повёлся на третье изображение Юки с ушками.
