Genuinely a good game. I wish we lived in a world where people weren't so addicted to online negativity that they could find joy in a game that's flawed in really basic ways, but still really good. "there's better options" cool? Those games still have similar flaws, they just hide it better. I feel so many negative steam reviews these days don't even actually play the game properly, and go into the game with the idea they'll hate it, and look for ANYTHING to validate that. The moment they find something they can pounce on, they do so, close it, refund it, and leave a negative review about anything they didn't because the internet has poisoned us to hate everything, lest we dare like something and have to defend it so thoroughly it's exhausting.
Satisfying gameplay and beautiful scenery. The maps are genuinely fun to explore, with plenty of interesting places to discover and a great atmosphere. The story, however, is complete nonsense. The further you progress, the more the game tries to explain its world and its story, but instead of making things clearer, it creates more contradictions and plot holes. New concepts are constantly introduced without properly explaining how they connect to what you already know, and some explanations seem to contradict things established earlier. By the end, instead of tying everything together, the story leaves you with even more questions. I enjoyed the gameplay and exploration, but the story is an absolute mess.
Games like this rilly make me wish steam had a inbetween thingy istead of just ''yes i recomend'' or ''No i dont recomend" IMPORTANT : as of making this review im only on the 4th region of the game, so this will definetly be updated in the future Anyway, brass tax, so gamefreak made a game other than pokemon and as somebody who played and somehow enjoyed scarlet and violet despite thier meny problems i was very interested to see gamefreak tackling what the community says is a souls like....it rilly aint, its more sekiro, lets get into that I will say this here and i will say this now, with how pokemon is treated you may expect the absolute worst of this game witch, ay, fair but this is not a bad game, nor is it a amazing one, its a perfectly ''fine to spend some time with'' game, You will definetly notice its meny flaws but there is plenty to stay for mainly the combat As said this game is more sekiro like than souls like, having a massive emphasis on performing parrys and perfect dodges, and here comes one of the big selling points of the game, Your dog friend, Parrying charges a bar that allows you to do various special attacks with your dogs witch can rilly help with fights especialy if the enemy is weak to the attack, performing a QtE perfectly with the attacks also heals you a bit, so you definetly wanne make those parrys and make your dog attack as mutch as possible, you can also equip items on the dog witch he will automaticaly use in battle witch is very nice, Combat in of itself though is very fluid and satisfying, a good verity of combos witch you unlock from defeating the games bosses give a good bit of depth to it while letting you end fights with very satisfying executions, The enemy verity so far leaves something to be desired though, The humanoid robots are very fun to parry and they definetly have a good amount of them at the start but very quickly they just start getting samey, but the animals definetly suffer as it seems you only get like, 1 new animal enemy per region, its a shame rilly The story is Definetly the weakest part of this game, its the avradge "big apocalyptic event happens and you gotta stop it, get the meguffins to beat it" type story, Its not offensivly bad, but it also aint good, its just there and can definetly drag on at times (luckly i heard gamefreak is planning on updating this) And look ik you may have come here from pokemon so ik what you are gonne ask ''How are the graphics" and well, they are definetly not awfull, hell ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ leagues ahead of scarlet and violet...But there are definetly a lot of short comings, the amount of times i saw see through objects, Wierdly modeld satilites or the grass having a rave party that hurts my eyes is....more than i whould like, And well yea thats pretty mutch what i whould describe this game as in every sense, Not offensivly bad, but not great with its meny shortcomings, ESPECIALY NOT FOR ITS PRICE POINT, The combat is rilly great, everything else is middling at best so i whould say, get it on sale and when you have nothing else better to do, its a perfect ''just to pass the time'' game, witch ay, if you ask me, gamefreak is rilly good at making those and that aint even rilly a critique, I am most definetly curious at the updates this game will get and hell if gamefreak may potenticaly cook up some DLC for it, All in all, You did good gamefreak, it aint at all perfect, but you did good
This game is mad underwhelming on every level the visuals suck the music is extremely repetitive I cant stand this bland boring MC they should have made her a cyborg! People keep saying the combat is the best and that's the only part of the game that's better than the rest its a 6/10 when it comes to combat there's nothing new about it the camera is trash the enemies theres only like 5 of them the story is boring slow and lazy. There are WAY better games we ALL brought this because we wanna see what GAMEFREAK can do. Nintendo needs to put a collar on GAMEFREAK because they are not good at making anything other than handheld cute Pokémon games and even those are fallin off. I really wish I could get my money back but oh well.
太傻逼了 只要多2个怪 完全是送。。里面还有4-5个怪一起的。。。大型怪锁定也有问题 乱飘~
This game has potential, though id rather the bad guy be the main character. No ultrawide at launch which is already a problem, playing the game there are alot of camera bugs, and prompt bugs. You can have a profile set for Playstaion prompts but your getting half the prompts in xbox, or ninendo prompts so you cant keep track of the tutorial. The start of the game is a copy and paste of Stellarblade with a less attractive character so far.
I got the game on discount, so I'd recommend but don't buy this at full price. I'd say overall 7/10 I enjoyed: - fights are fun, good combo with the dog. - parry feels good and attack carries the weight pleasantly. - not a single crash in 48 hours. I disliked: - the plot, really good ideas but badly written. - with everything at max settings the game looks average. - low enemy variety. - bosses only have 3 movesets. At the beginning, fights will drag on as you're still weak but past the second half of the game when you get stronger weapons/finishers/spells, it's a cake walk. Not a bad game to be honest but clearly could have been way better.
