TLDR: FNAF meets A Little to the Left and I love it I thoroughly enjoyed this game, I love the atmosphere and design, its just a bit spooky, the puzzles are decently easy to learn, and there's enough of them not to feel too repetitive. The cutscenes are well made and it has a decent story for a short experience. I look forward to seeing what else comes in the Story Machine Shorts series. Only issues I had is with the radio puzzle, the dials are hard to control with a mouse, and the time based achievements, with how fast I went through the path/did the puzzle I feel they may not be tracking properly.
Aggressive Buddha belly rubs 👋
The mouse controls make this impossible to play

Short but beautiful and atmospheric. It's a fun spooky snack-sized game!
I thoroughly enjoyed this game. The charming storyline and fun puzzles, ranging in difficulty, were a highlight. The graphics were excellent, and while it wasn't overly long, it provided ample entertainment.
I have the feeling a good portion of this game's art and assets is AI generated and as such it's an automatic downvote from me.

It has a run time of around 30 minutes to complete. It was made with Story Machine, a game engine that uses no code, and heavily uses AI for assets including backgrounds, objects and characters. More info on the engine linked below. https://www.trystorymachine.com/index.html In quick, I could say this was a fun bite-sized puzzle game with a timer. The game is short, a bit repetitive and fairly priced. Now to go a bit more in-depth. Some things to note. Being a bite sized game, although never explained in game, has no save file. No progress can be saved. Also, it has no exit or quit button. In order to quit, you may need to alt tab out. Even though the game doesn't save Steam will still keep your achievement progress, even when the game does not. The way it works is fairly simple, and might I add overly used. The "staff" mechanic. You work your shift from midnight to 6 AM and "survive" the night. The controls weren't great. The game doesn't really detect mouse sensitivity making it far from precise in many mini games. I died so many times at the beginning just because it was too sensitive when trying to move a painting or rotating a knob. Because of its repetitive style, at some point you may get used to the games set sensitivity settings and be able to continue playing with no issue. It only has a handful of mini-games (puzzles?) and they don't vary in difficulty or just vary. At some point the game tells you that the light is dimming faster, suggesting a rise in difficulty but I honestly did not notice it. I also had the game crash 3 times during gameplay, mostly near the 6am mark. My biggest 👎🏻 is that it claims to have "horror elements" and also suggests quite a few times and through different methods that if you fail something bad or scary will happen. None of that is true. If you die, you get a static image basically saying game over and while playing there are no creepy or scary moments. Closes to "scary" would be that you see glowing eyes and need to click on them and that the door opens up on its own. Nothing really happens if you don't close the door or shoo the eyes away except light dimming faster. Some of the character and setting inspiration may come from Lovecraft lore but there is no substance to be able to fully call this Lovecraftian or horror. The story is so short and quick that all you really link it to is the lighthouse and the imagery. All in all, even with its flaws, it was a fun bite size game that I finished in less than 30 minutes and no replay value. It's fun for the moment. I enjoyed it. For $2.99 USD it's not the worst game and if you catch it on sale definitely try it. It's certainly not without its flaws, but it's a nice little game. The art and atmosphere are very nice, and you get a little bit of story about the lighthouse as you go through your shift. The puzzles are easy other than the fact that the mouse controls are broken to a degree that feels like the game wasn't actually ready to be released. That just makes it frustrating, though, not unplayable. The other problem with the game is that there are only 10 tasks, so they get repetitive as you go through your shift. Given that it's such a short game, I feel like it could have been better designed so that it's not so repetitive. But anyway, despite its downsides, I do think it's a nice little game. I enjoyed it. And I like that you can find secret items in each puzzle.
