Batman: Arkham Asylum Game of the Year Edition

A good change from the classic batman and his villains (basically absolute universe before the absolute universe) Good mixture of action, exploration and "parkour", even if the latter is mostly grappling and doing metroidvania ♥♥♥♥ five times over just to be sure you didn't forget something The story is pretty boring, the execution is not and the tapes plus the riddles are where actual story lies, as it's 100 times more interesting to hear the snippets of interviews, than it's to listen to Joker say "haha I'm bad Bats haha I'm into BDSM but Harley doesn't wanna go to the gym that much and Bane isn't like that haha so I need you to do me a favor haha barely anyone will die anyway, at least by my hands, I'm just horny haha" for the millionth time in the multiverse... I don't blame him though, I'd ask the same of Batman or Bruce, depending on the time of the day The fights could be of bigger consequence, because maybe half of them have actuall conclusion and the rest is vague or shown to mean nothing as they will lead to other encounters in later Arkham games (I guess) and with Batman's rogue gallery, I don't think we need that (maybe it will be one of those pleasant surprises (most likely not))

👍 Recommended I finally finished Batman: Arkham Asylum, and I honestly understand why so many people still consider it one of the best superhero games ever made. What surprised me the most is how well it has aged. If someone told me this was a game released in 2026, I would have believed them. The combat still feels smooth and satisfying, the story keeps you engaged from beginning to end, and the voice acting and soundtrack are absolutely incredible. One thing I really appreciated was the pacing. The game never felt repetitive. Every new area introduced something different—whether it was a new enemy type, detective puzzles, exploration, stealth sections, or memorable boss fights. It constantly gave me a reason to keep playing. The atmosphere deserves special mention. Arkham Asylum feels like a character of its own. Exploring every corner of the island while uncovering its secrets made the experience even more immersive. What I loved: - Exceptional combat that still holds up today. - Fantastic story with excellent writing and dialogue. - Outstanding voice acting and soundtrack. - Constant gameplay variety that keeps things fresh. - Incredible atmosphere and environmental design. If you're someone who enjoys story-driven single-player games, this is an absolute must-play. It's one of those games that proves great game design doesn't get old. Rating: 10/10. Still feels like a modern masterpiece years after its release. 🦇

Se acabo Joker Es un juego que tiene una de las mejores atmosferas que he probado en un videojuego de superheroes. Realmente siento que el juego es muy disfrutable aunque algo tosco en su gameplay. A nivel de gameplay los gadgets de batman no todos son utiles pero cada uno hace el juego divertido. En cuanto a la historia es muy buena y sobretodo interesante, realmente recomiendo el videojuego. Optimizacion, lo jugue en una laptop con tan solo 8 GB de ram como en una PC con una 5060 y no me dio problemas en ninguna de las dos. Es un rotundo 10/10 a nivel de optimzacion.

Эта игра не заставила меня почувствовать Ватманом, зато дала мне очень крепкую атмосферу дурдома, драйвовый Beat 'em up и дофаминовый стелс в испытаниях. Игра мрачная, но что мне понравилось, она держит баланс, чтобы не переходить в полноценную чернуху. Это прям комиксовый Ватман, классический. Не то самое постмодернистское, что сейчас делают с летучей мышью, а настоящее уважение к классике серебряного века комиксов. Марк Хэмилл - моё почтение. Лучший Джокер Ever. И, конечно, покойный Кевин Конрой, который навсегда застолбил за собой персонажа - одинокого в душе социопата с миллиардами на счету. Выбиты все достижения, и если испытания на мордобое вызывали у меня стресс и желание разбить геймпад об монитор, то от стелс миссий я получил большое удовольствие, потому что это своеобразная головоломка, которую я очень люблю. В этих стелс миссиях тебя сильно ограничивают, не так как в одиночной игре, заставляя мысли нестандартно. И загадки Энигмы не такая душная вещь как в последующих частях. То есть вообще не душная. Бэтмен все таки величайший в мир детектив, и решение загадок очень простое занятие для нашего социопата. И от поиск и решений этих загадок получаешь удовольствие. Поэтому если поиграть в эту игру, то не стесняйтесь побороться не только с Ловушкой Кокера, но и с Загадочником. Моя оценка 8.5 из 10

The game is very good, though in the later stages it starts to feel long and you just want it to end quickly; yet, once you finish it, it feels short and leaves you wanting more. My rating: 9/10.

i enjoyed this game a lot, very nostalgic and combat is super fun :) killer croc was very scary. batman is so cool.
