Batman: Arkham Asylum Game of the Year Edition

Finally got around to playing Batman: Arkham Asylum, and I can honestly see why people still recommend it after all these years. I used a couple of visual mods to freshen things up, but the game itself has aged surprisingly well. It's one of those games where you can clearly see how influential it was. The atmosphere inside Arkham is incredible, the voice acting is top-notch, and the whole game has that classic Batman feel from start to finish. One thing I didn't expect to enjoy this much was the Riddler content. I ended up completing all the riddles because they actually encouraged me to explore the asylum and learn more about the characters and lore. It never felt like a waste of time. The combat is definitely simpler compared to modern games, but considering this came out in 2009, it's impressive how well it still plays. You can tell this game laid the foundation for so many action games that came after it. If you've somehow never played Arkham Asylum, don't let its age put you off. It still holds up, and I'm looking forward to starting Arkham City next.

This game has a good storyline and low intelligence npcs(But very good for its time). A lot of action and all characters has a personable factor(so you feel pity to unalive and sad when someone unalives(or is revealed to be alive later)).

Amazing and still holds up pretty well and combat for 16 year old game is just insane
