5 on 5 Pro Basketball born from the golden era of sports games. This spiritual successor to the 8-bit ballers bridges the gap between retro and today’s simulation games. Side-scrolling, sweaty arcade action with simplified 3-button gameplay and retro vibes galore.

This game rips. Feels like playing an old school basketball game. Gives off heavy NBA Live 98 vibes. The fixed play system seemed like a gimmick at first but it does provide a lot of cool ways to score. It's just a great game to pick up and play. Couldn't recommend it enough.

its one of the most unique basketball games ive played and I hope in the future there will be a career mode where you can have your own legacy
This is an arcade basketball game that pays MASSIVE respect to the NBA. I was astonished to see rosters from every era of the league. Showtime Lakers, MJ Bulls, Heat LeBron, 2016 Warriors, they're all there. Even the lesser accomplished teams are available, like the 8 seed Orlando Magic from 2020. Outside of your standard quickplay mode, there is a story mode, a season mode, and a roster editor. The story mode consists of playing against legendary teams to recruit legendary players to your roster. These are mostly pre 2000 era players such as Barkley, and Larry Bird. Once you beat story mode you unlock story mode + which has you go through the story again except this time you are facing up against newer age players, like Lebron, Steph, and Kobe. There are additional unlockable courts and teams making story mode a worthwhile experience and a love letter to the game of basketball. Season mode is wonderful. It's your standard basketball season simulator without the bloat. You can play with custom rosters or with any of the historic teams already in the game. As far as gameplay goes, Basketball Classics is not trying to be a true to life simulator; this is an arcade game first, and a basketball game second. You play with a stick of pixels and pass the ball around to your other pixel sticks and shoot using a meter/dunk using a mini game. You can steal, and block, but there are no fouls and no free throws. Basketball Classics is easy to pick up and play but hard to put down, as it has quickly become my favorite basketball game on the market today. At such a low price, purchasing this game is a no brainer for basketball & arcade fans alike.
I wanted to like this game, but in the end, a game like Baseball Stars or even NES Hoops beats this out. I appreciate all of the references (recognized them all, very very cool) BUT THE GAMEPLAY IS NOT FUN. Get Super Blood Hockey instead.
Legitimately better than Double Dribble Simple to pick up with surprising depth including playcalling. A lot of fun multiplayer.
tremendous old school fun
I am actually not a huge basketball fan but know some players like Garnett, Jordan, Lebron, Barkley etc. This game takes it back to being really simple and fun. Its just really casual and with how so many major sports games for sports like NBA & NHL and football(soccer) being scammy p2w casinos. This game is a fresh through back. Also the dev support team is really nice, they replied to an enquiry email I sent within 6 hours of sending an email to them.
Una cosa es retro y otra una castaña como un piano. No hagas caso de las reseñas positivas y huye.
good bball imo
