Backyard Baseball

I've put many hours into this game and I've loved every second of it! Super fun and runs great on my 5 year old MacBook. Highly recommend this for anyone who's looking for a nostalgic kick or wants a vibrant/light-hearted sports game in their library.

It is amazing! although I have not played the older games. I will say that it insanely beginner friendly and it took me like 5 minutes to learn how to play the game, and with simple mechanics, good graphics, and it really brightens my mood by some of the funny people or the funny lines, but in the end. It is a clear 10/10 and I highly recommend that you should try it if you have played the older games or not.

A great update to a classic game! Overall I am loving the game after a few short hours of playing. The depth of the game has only improved with achievements, unlockable content, and collecting within the game with ZERO microtransactions. Play the game. Unlock the stuff. Play the game more. Couldn't ask for better. New Modes are interesting and create a unique spin on the classic game keeping things fresh. Minor hiccups with some game controls here and there but nothing game breaking-ly bad.

I think this remake does a very good job at staying true to the OG game I spend hours playing splitting computer time with my sister in the early 2000s. I do not regret getting it. still has some of the same old charm and Pablo is still the GOAT

Characters and skin look like BYB, but the gameplay needs work. - The field feels bigger or the fact the kids can't even throw the distance of a basepath (what's with the high arch on the throws? Is this basketball?) - As soon as the ball is hit and the game switches to fielding, the kid you're controlling in the field doesn't automatically move towards the ball - you literally have to know exactly which kid is selected and move them preemptively towards the ball if you want any chance of catching it. Again this is exacerbated by the larger feel of the field. - Player on 1st base doesn't auto advance to 2nd when the batter makes a hit. - If a ball is hit into the outfield between two outfielders, the outfielders will each alternate turns stepping towards the ball and stopping. Computer fielding looks like it works as intended, but the player's team is severely handicapped

to keep it brief, the game's definitely unfinished, but for what it's worth... ...it's playable and enjoyable! 40 bucks was a lot tho :(
