Backyard Baseball gets you hooked, and the feeling of hitting homeruns is AMAZING !! . It totally nails that "just one more match" loop, and the gameplay is super simple to pick up while still having some decent strategy options when you're drafting a team. The characters have a ton of charm and it's a great, low-stress way to unwind after some high stress games NGL I was pretty annoyed to find out multiplayer isn't available right out of the gate. That's a slight letdown for a game like this, and it definitely takes away from the initial hype when you just want to play with friends. I feel like this game could be more, looking forward to the updates. They were able to remake it, now what I really want to see is a solid expansion that justifies the remake
I picked this up hoping it would capture some of what I remembered from the old games, and honestly, it did. It has that same laid back, goofy charm that made Backyard Baseball so much fun in the first place. The matches move at a nice pace, and there's enough to unlock that it gives you a reason to keep coming back. If you're a fan of the old Backyard Baseball games, I think you'll have a good time with this. It's been a fun nostalgia trip for me, and I'm looking forward to putting more hours into it.

I think this remake does a very good job at staying true to the OG game I spend hours playing splitting computer time with my sister in the early 2000s. I do not regret getting it. still has some of the same old charm and Pablo is still the GOAT
I'm not entirely sure if I can recommend it at this time. It does have quite a few things that I don't think work for it. It's great for nostalgia, it has much potential to be a great game. Couple things i don't like is they removed the zone that the pitch comes in. Now it's either exactly where the ball is going or you have no frame of reference and it's extremely hard to guess where the pitches are going. Like someone else mentions, the breaking balls are damn near impossible to hit correctly. I get it's supposed to be hard without knowing, but idk. Defense seems weird. If you click like you would do in the older games, they stop running for a little bit before moving again. Sometimes it feels as if they're not going where you're clicking. Just a few to name, I haven't had that much time in the game. I refunded it once, but got it again because I'm hoping my money will help them come out with updates and bug fixes to fix the game I love so much. I'll update my review if/when it gets to the quality I hope becomes of it.

Straight nostalgia injected into my veins
great game, brings back a lot of childhhod memories, unfortunately my child hood sucked because i was touched by my uncle, aside from that, to not a drop an online multi mode is wild on release
Very Fun and entertaining
its like the og but better and the wiggle ball mode is fun
A great update to a classic game! Overall I am loving the game after a few short hours of playing. The depth of the game has only improved with achievements, unlockable content, and collecting within the game with ZERO microtransactions. Play the game. Unlock the stuff. Play the game more. Couldn't ask for better. New Modes are interesting and create a unique spin on the classic game keeping things fresh. Minor hiccups with some game controls here and there but nothing game breaking-ly bad.
