About
BACKSPACE (in all caps for some reason) is an adventure/puzzle game where you start your new job as an intern for the space vessel manufacturing company, MVEM! As you get settled in at your new position, you may get a sense that something strange is going on. The employees that get "promoted" are rarely heard from again... In the mean time, you gotta find your boss's keys.
Wander the lovely landscapes of corporate mundanity, collecting items to add to your arsenal of puzzle solving tools! Perhaps even find the optional collectibles???
BACKSPACE has an original soundtrack entirely composed by yours truly! I sure hope it's as good as I think it is.
Team up with your co-workers to figure out and put a stop to whatever shady practices the company is up to! BACKSPACE has a wonderful little story with a bunch of moments that I, at the very least, find quite funny. I suppose you can be the judge of my comedic abilities.
This company is definitely up to no good, man.

More people need to play this game. I had to do two playthroughs to really appreciate it all. Awesome little indie game!
This is the first time playing a game like this and what a wonderful experience! the comedy was perfect and had me laughing throughout, puzzles are just the right amount of challenge to be fun. and the story had me interested from the start. The only trouble i really had was with the timed sections due to not being use to using a keyboard and mouse, My partner who is did this first time so you all should not have trouble. And if you are like me the game gives you the option to turn this off before you start so thank you for that option!
dude where is the last ^______^ i cant find it im gonna go crazy
Great game, Banger Music, Banger Dialogue, Banger Art style Caps is awesome
Cute game
really cute game! the dye puzzle got me stuck for a little while but it doesn't bring the game down. i appreciate the post game museum a lot, I love seeing people's creative process and their thoughts on their projects. wish you luck on any future gamedev endeavours!
Everything about the game is super endearing! Although some of the puzzles had me guessing a bit before I figured them out, I never got frustrated. I enjoyed it a lot!
This is one of those times I wish we had a mixed review option. I really want to recommend this game, and I hate to be the first negative review, since it's a charming indie game that clearly has a lot of effort put into it, but I got stuck multiple times and it didn't entirely feel like my fault. This is gonna have puzzle spoilers. First was the storage room where I got stuck multiple times. First(again), the paper that says "F8" I could hardly even tell that it's an 8. I actually thought this was a name at first or something and that the 8 was some kind of weird E or a stylized 0. This is combined with the fact that not a single one of the boxes besides the one you need to open is interactable, giving me no indication that I was supposed to find a specific one. I just clicked on some and then thought I couldn't interact with any of them, at least yet. One of my friends said he had to brute force this puzzle clicking on every box. I think if there were some lines of dialogue for the other boxes about how we need to make sure it's going to the right place then it wouldn't be as much of a problem. Or if it was just more clear that it was an 8 at least, but I'm not really sure what can be done about that without changing the font. The second time I got stuck in this room was near the end. Once I got all the weights for the items and figured out which ones I needed to get rid of I wasn't sure what to do with them, since once again, the thing I needed to use had no dialogue beforehand. As soon as you enter the warehouse the window you come in through has no dialogue for interacting with it. Not a line like "oh we don't need to go back out the window right now" or some other line indicating that you can, in fact, interact with it. This one was a lot more obvious with what I needed to do because like, where else am I gonna put the parts, but it still confused me and there still should have been some dialogue for the window before. What's baffling about this is I'm pretty sure I remember somewhere else in the game doing this better, where an object you could use later had some dialogue hinting that you could use it later. Before the second place I got stuck there was the serial number timer. The caffeine thing was easy to figure out but there really should have been some kind of second chance or cancel option for if you accidentally put in the wrong number. It was really frustrating to get there knowing the number and accidentally press z one too many times. The second time I got stuck was after you forge the ID. My first thought was to recruit Space to the party since Caps is gone so you have an open party slot. But you can't do anything with Space at first. And this leaves you with a massive area to cover and your only hint being that you need to look like space. None of the employees seem to change their dialogue or anything. I also would not have thought to dye hair with printer ink of all things. That could just be me but I feel like something could have been changed here. It could allow you to do the two steps out of order so if you couldn't figure out one the other would give you a hint. Like maybe you could get the hat first since that's much more obvious and then they mention something about hair dye. Or maybe restrict the area you can visit a bit like the next segment where everyone splits up. Maybe the line about the cyan dye could be something the guy only mentions when you're at this segment? Maybe Shift asks Space something about their look? I don't know. I don't think this one is quite as bad as the boxes and I probably should have figured it out knowing the logic of point and click games, but one of my friends said he got stuck on it(and I'm pretty sure he never finished the game), and another said he had to ask a playtester for the solution. So I feel like it could use a little change. I think that any of the suggestions I mentioned could improve that segment. I think these problems wouldn't be as big of a deal at the very VERY least if there was some kind of cheat sheet or guide available just in case someone got stuck. I could and might do that myself in the community section for this game but that's the easy way out and it doesn't fix the game itself. I don't know if it's too much to ask but I do hope this game gets updated since, knowing RPGmaker(although I don't know what version was used), some of the changes I mentioned seem like they'd be pretty easy to do. Also my second playthrough trying to collect all the floppy discs I got stuck this time because of glitches. My game just seemingly randomly froze several times. I tried restarting and reinstalling the game and neither worked. I also just could not find the fourth floppy disk. I swear I searched everywhere before the 5th one. But I'm not holding that against the game since, for all I know, it could just be in some really obvious spot that I missed. I do wish there was a guide for these though, assuming they unlock a more complete ending, because the normal ending kinda sucks.
