About
Backrooms Lost Dimension is a single-player video game focused on exploring the famous and eerie levels of the Backrooms. To survive, players must solve intricate puzzles and escape malicious creatures. The game features an original, evolving story and will be constantly updated with new content through Early Access.

During an expedition, two archaeologists discover a hidden mural among ancient ruins, belonging to the mysterious Alborian civilization. Once decoded, the ancient prophecy engraved on the stone unleashes a black hole that sucks the two scholars in, plunging them into the distorted dimension of the Backrooms. Lurking in the shadows is Lady Rose, an enigmatic and iconic figure who appears to be the guardian of this place. Legend has it that if Lady Rose were to sing, her voice could collapse the entire dimension.
Available in Q4 2026, Wild Dimension is the free-to-play multiplayer expansion of the game. Set in a distorted Backrooms timeline and structured as an open-world survival game, the action takes place on an island with diverse biomes.
This alternative reality was created by Lady Rose to deceive the Guardians of Time.
The game will operate on a Seasonal basis: each season will overhaul the island with map updates, gameplay changes, and new story fragments.

i will say i didnt even want to get past the first level.. ive played and beaten many other backrooms games but im not one to overly hate either on something but this game is filled with AI usage for the storyline a loading screen cutscene or intro it just feels like it belongs in roblox instead of steam... for a free game its not bad and i do enjoy the music but i cant ignore the blatant use of AI its very much not something im even interested in playing past the first level. the backrooms is all about creativity and what the brain can makeup this honestly looked like it had promise i was willing to ignore the intro but its all jank... i hope you can make a game without AI in the future because i know you can but right now this is a skip for me [also when adjusting controls like framerate if you choose anything other then 120fps it will change the language aswell. vibe coding to the max..... makes me think of microslop]

DO NOT GET THIS GAME!!! I don't ever make reviews but I had to for this one. This game in genuinely one of the worst games I've ever played and I don't know why I sat through and played it, it is full of Ai slop (loading screens, items, entities and levels). This game could've been made on Roblox for less time, more profit and less faults. if you'd like to play this just to see how bad it is then go for it but no point in wasting your data downloading this and playing it, this is a review of each level i got up to. Level 0 (lobby), sucks the walls are untextured, props are clipped badly into walls, the entity has a generic walking animation, the regen on the "ability" takes years but gets used in 5s which is stupid. level 1, is the same thing with level 0 nothing else for me to say there. level 1.1 (smilers), is horrible too, the smiler entities are AI generated, the lights are either too close to each other or too far when you need to run to the next one and there's no checkpoints either if you get to basically the end and die you have to start all over again. level 2 (pipeline/sewers) gives you somewhat instructions on what to do on the ai piece of paper but doesn't make any sense at all, after about 10 mins of trying to figure it out i managed to get it because the hints are horrible. level 3 (electric stn), this level was just made horrible same thing with level one with the ability but doing the task of putting the wires together is easy until you try and do it and once its all connected it doesnt work, you have to keep on flipping everything around until it works even if you have it connected and there's a wall with a giant hole in it that you cant go through so you have to take a locked door next to it? makes no sense. level 4 (the office), Is just horrible as well, you have to collect boxes and put them in the end, the more you do the more entities come out but if you die you lose all your progress which is stupid it is insanely hard to not die after getting a certain amount of weight and so i ended my gameplay here because theres no point in wasting my time. i think the devs need to rethink making this, im sorry to them but you couldve gone onto roblox and made this, made it way way better and easier without all this AI slop you guys need to learn to make a game without AI and actually learn to blend stuff and program. The amount of water used on this level was probably more water then there is on level 2.
This game caused me to write a review for a game for the first time since 2013. This game is terrible, first we have what is supposed to be the star of the games, the anomalies, I have no idea how to even describe them other than what happened here? At times they will wander around the level, other times they will be like a magnet, never leaving you alone, The unreal amount of AI in this game is astounding, it is everywhere, the art, the respawn screens, the voices, not only that if you mess with settings it will literally change the voices of the characters and then you can't change it back? How does that even happen? The big final piece for me is the respawn screen, once you die, you load, it plays the same looping AI screen, then the game tells you the level and then who it is designed by. Why does it take 30 seconds to respawn every single time. Overall, pass, do not play this game in the current state, I stuck with it to see how it would turn out and it is just terrible through the entire thing, the unreal amount of AI, the bugs in the levels, the options being changed causing the language to change (Which is actually hilarious.) and it doesn't really feel like a game, you can break it so easily by just walking sometimes that I refuse to believe this should even be in Early Access, this feels like before Early Access.
Only played a small amount but everything felt good from controls to frame rate. Didn't try any puzzles yet for steam deck users I do recommend lossless scaling. Seemed like a solid Backrooms experience granted 10 minutes isn't enough time for a review score I did like what I played though.
I rarely write reviews but this game has been broken since its Beta Release and its basically still the same bugs as before and some. Highly disappointed.
Incredible! Is Backrooms Lost Dimension free-to-play? 2026 is amazing. I absolutely love this! Thanks for releasing it for free. I hope this Early Access period helps make this game as perfect as possible.
I had been waiting for this game to come out for so many months, and I have to say that, at least so far, it has not disappointed my expectations. It's a different game from the others, and finally I'd say so! Something that feels like a breath of fresh air among all these Backrooms clones. It's well optimized (which is not something you can take for granted with games released these days), it's enjoyable to play and it has already made me jump a couple of times on the first and especially the second level xD. If I run into any issues, I'll update this review, but for now... truly great work! (especially considering it was made by a single developer... compliments). Update: The developer released 5 patches in 2 days! This is the kind of support every gamer wants for a game! My frame rate has also improved.
EL JUEGO ESTA SUPER MAL OPTIMIZADO. SERIA UN PLUS MEJORAR ESE ASPECTO, OPTIMIZACION EN LAS TEXTURAS, EN LA CARGA DE VIDEOS COMO LA PANTALLA DE RESURRECCION, ETC. POR EL MOMENTO ES UNA ODISEA JUGARLO DESENTEMENTE CON UNA GRAFICA INTEGRADA QUE ES CASI EL 60% DEL PUBLICO OBJETIVO
