Seems pretty fun so far, here are some useful tips: After you've started the game once, close it right away and go to your config. by pressing WindowsKey + R enter C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\A.V.A\avaGame\Config\AVAOptionSettings.ini (Works only when your game is installed on the C: Drive) press CTRL + F and search for " bUseRawMouseInput " set it to True again CTRL + F search for " MonitorHz " and insert your refreshrate of your monitor like 120 / 144 or 240 press CTRL + S to save the file and close it ingame video setting recommendation: https://imgur.com/a/l3V8478 (strongly recommended to play in Fullscreen for smoother mouse movement) Your FoV is personal preference, so feel free to change that but keep in mind the FoV affects your mouse sensitivity. Also turn off " Reverb Effect " under the tab Audio Under the tab Game choose the CrossHair on the right side, this one has the best visability on all maps. Sprint / Run is by default on pressing W 2 times, i would change that to the key Left Shift. You can find Run under the name " Secondary key, dash " in the Control tab. When you do this, you have to rebind your key for walking. When you tab out on your desktop and want to go back ingame, spam your right click until the black screen is gone and you are back in the actual game, this will reduce the time a lot when tab back in. After 5 Years of game play of the old AvA wich we will all miss the game gave me a warm feeling but it just doesnt get to the point its good im pretty sure everyone who is a long time ava player knows what i mean its realy sad it had to turn out this way
Another game i loved with my whole heart, which sadly got closed down. With big potential, a lot of good people, a good community, and a great dev team! It was heartbreaking, yet again, to see one of my fav games getting closed down. Thanks for letting me be an operative, a moderator, for this game!
Its the same as the old AVA, but with 95% of the content removed, and ungodly downgraded lobby system. It baffles me why Red Duck spent a year trying to ruin this game as much as possible, while still building hype for it, just to shut it down after a few weeks. This feels like the most disrespectful thing they could have possibly done to AVA fans. Thanks a lot red duck ya mf clowns :^)
Players: Game sucks because graphics and mechanics are outdated as hell. Also players: Game sucks because it doesn't feel or look like original A.V.A. Game devs: Guess I'll die.
10 years and the game does not improve but even downgrade in some aspect. -Old graphic design - gun running still a problem. Literally, Pointman is too OP as gun damage is a little bit high and people can hit shot while running and jumping like WTF. They need to nerf the damage of pointman' guns. - Some gun are just "spray and pray" type and much easier to use than the other. - No custom crosshair - Only some limited resolutions to choose from.
Game is practically dead before it release. Development team made a huuuge failure deciding to add some very weird HOG mode to game and drop out escort which was one of the most played mode in old AvA. If i decide to leave a room because of very unfair team setup I will end up connecting back to exactly same room with same team setup. I really can't recommend this game to anyone. Future will show if they can make this playable game or not.
People complain about many missing features. Well have you ever considered that this is O P E N B E T A you dimwit? Any game that exists in this world which goes through the open beta phase has barely any features except for basic ones to make the game playable. Over time they will return all the modes and everything that used to be in the old A.V.A however it might be slightly different. The sounds were completely changed and the lobby looks fine, unlike the older one which had it's similarities to the lobby of combat arms or warrock which is even older and worse. The core gameplay is not exactly the same but it is extremely similar to the old A.V.A as expected but some guns were changed and nerfed/buffed. There are no cheaters, the ones who complain just suck at life and everything they play because they forgot that some people are better than others, same point as global elite crushing a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ silver that's complaining about cheaters. I am happy Redduck brought this game back to life, can't wait for the next patches and updates to balance and add more content :) The game will get better with feedback which is what the devs are looking for 24/7, if you don't like something then report it to the devs instead of doing something so unproductive as complaining and downvoting this game in the review section. Good game, fun game, highly recommend for people who don't take bad reviews seriously.
This is what I call a missed opportunity: - some map design are EXTREMELY BAD, for example 3 camp points with direct line of fire directly in to the very spot you spawn - really bad net-code - tick-rate feels like 32, when it should be 120 for a 2009 game in 2019 - interface is just garbage - no co-op - small amount of maps and some of the very populare are not in the game. We were expecting a more polished version of the game we loved, and we got what feels like the beta version of the old game. Bad news is, it's score is 48% right out of the gate, with verry little content, no progression, and no good items to buy in store. Sure I would spend some $$$ to buy gear like a costume, or a gun, but it HAS TO BE FOR EVER, and it has to be a purchase, not a bet, this is not a freaking casino.
