Autopanic Zero

"Autopanic Zero" is a lame, minimalistic retro twin stick shooter with, well, nothing really going for it. It's an old, dead genre, so releasing yet another one onto Steam that's worse than all the others isn't adding anything of real value for gamers. The game features really lacklustre minimalist visuals that were undoubtedly the primary cause of the failure of this very lame twin stick shooter. Gamers don't spend thousands of dollars on gaming rigs to pretend they're mobile phones. This is only free in a rudimentary sense... the developer has their hand out for a "donation" for this as you're expected to buy some extra empty DLC from Steam... digital panhandling. Like the homeless guys who splash dirty water on your windscreen at the traffic lights. No thanks. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 6 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Not this time. This isn't worth downloading. While this won't cost you any money, you get what you pay for, and sometimes, even when the game is free, it's still not enough.

and yet again I find another game where I would’ve bet my life I’d already left a review for… this is getting to be really annoying, but I can’t just NOT leave a review when the game is so good! I’ve barely scratched the surface of what’s inside, but it’s a great twin stick shooter, seems to be pretty deep… I don’t know, what else can I say? There’s no barrier to entry, it’s free - get going already!

What it says on the tin and more. The amount of meaningfully different loadouts I've managed to find and enjoy is worth the price alone - oh wait, it's FREE.

Great foundation for a Tron-esque rogue-like. Looking forward to the full release!
