Breeding prototype - A brand-new feature has arrived, breeding is now available! Choose your mare and stallion to create unique foals that inherit genetic traits from both parents. The genetics system closely mirrors real life, blending breed characteristics, body and head shape, and color genetics to produce one-of-a-kind offspring.
Watch your foals grow day by day as they mature into adult horses you can ride, train, and continue to breed. Build your own lineage and develop a pedigree of exceptional horses over generations.
Horse customization - The Astride Horse Creator offers an array of horse genetic options for you to discover. Select different breeds, heights, head shapes, mane, tail, and forelock styles, base coat colors, face and leg markings, multiple white patterns and different genetics, such as tobiano, splash, cream, grey, silver, and more to customize your horse's appearance. Observe how the various genes influence the outcome of your horse's coat and bring your dream horse to life!
Multiplayer - Whether you prefer playing with friends or riding out alone, Astride offers a multiplayer feature. Explore the environment with your friends or complete strangers. You have the flexibility to host private servers with passcodes for intimate gatherings or join public servers to meet fellow players from around the world.
Show jumping prototype - The initial iteration of the show jumping system is now available for testing. Observe how strides impact the horse's jumping capabilities and master the art of creating the ideal lineup for jumping. Select between a variation of training courses and timed courses and compete against your friends for the best time scores! Try out the cross country jumps placed around the country-side and challenge yourself in rough terrain! Stay tuned for additional updates to the jumping prototype in the near future.
Dressage prototype - The dressage prototype is now available in Astride. Choose between a few different dressage tests and gain scores based on how well you can stick to the program. First of all, I have to say that the horse animations were realy good. The gaits felt incredibly smooth, and as someone who also has experience with animation, I found it really impressive how well they managed to animate the horses. That was definitely one of the strongest parts of the game for me. However, my biggest issue is with the rider animations and movements. As an equestrian myself, I really noticed how unrealistic the riding looked. The rider was constantly hitting the horse’s back quite violently, and the seat movement looked very rough and unnatural. Honestly, if my trainer saw me riding like that, I would probably be dragged off the horse immediately. It just did not feel correct from an equestrian perspective. I also think it would be great if the game added options for different rein lengths, such as shorter or longer reins. Personally, I would never hold my reins the way the rider does in the game, so that looked a bit strange to me as well. That being said, I do understand how difficult reins are to animate, and I actually liked the way they folded and moved overall. Another thing I really loved was the customization. There are a lot of options, and overall the game already feels quite ambitious. You also have to remember that this is still an early testing phase, so considering that, some aspects are already very impressive. The fact that the game already includes breeding at such an early stage is honestly really great. The graphics, however, did not completely blow me away. I would not call them bad, but they definitely still need improvement. I think there is still a lot of work to do visually. Still, I really liked how open the world felt and how much space there was to ride around. The mountain areas especially felt very nostalgic to me because I used to ride in the mountains myself, and I genuinely enjoyed that atmosphere. Overall, I think this game has a lot of potential. However, especially considering the high price and the current quality level, I must admit that I expected more. Of course, we all tend to expect a lot from new horse games, but at the moment I personally would not fully recommend buying it yet. I think waiting for the official release would probably be the safer choice.

Good game in development. Would prefer the interaction key bind to change from F to E (more common in other games). The way to change gait should be improved also, pressing the numbers makes it really tricky. Maybe press Shift to increase pace or double tap W and S? Hopefully more breeds will be introduced in the future. I do like the breeding and hopefully will create a few nice horses :)
