Astonia Reborn is a free-to-play, classic 2D isometric MMORPG, based on the Astonia 3.5 Engine by Intent Software.

Astonia Reborn ran a alpha/beta server for almost 4 years successfully. We used this time to learn, update and test everything possible. Over 50+ updates were done in this time, some good, some bad but this was all a part of creating a good game to offer to the world on Steam.

To accommodate players from around the globe, the game utilizes server ticks to queue actions and animations from the various clients.

Players join the forces of the Astonian Imperial Army as a warrior or mage to train for battle, and protect their world against the invading demon horde. Characters gain rank and power, qualifying them for better and more powerful equipment, and later have the opportunity to become a monk, battlemage, or a member of the legendary Seyan’Du, and broaden their skill set.

Each character has the opportunity to find, design and enhance their own equipment, with hundreds of different items available to be found. Characters may take on different professions to help them create and repair their equipment, concoct potions to increase their skills or simply to receive favor with shopkeepers.

Players are offered the chance to raise their skills however they wish, allowing for a wide range of character builds with just a few class options. All players of Astonia have the choice to join clans that have been created by other players, or create your own, to participate in clan arenas for bonuses, and start wars to raid other clans for glory.

There are 5 character classes to choose from.

Attributes and skills can be raised whilst gaining experience allowing you to raise multiple stats while leveling.

50+ Different maps filled with content.

100+ Main quests, 100+ Side quests.

Plenty of levels To be gained.

Military experience to be earned to become a high rank in the Imperial Army.

Player vs Player content.

Clan Vs Clan content.

A lot of equipment to be found based off a rarity system.

Unique character building.

Full day/night cycle and In Game time system.

Auto-attack back system.

So as others have said this is version 3.5 not 3.0 which ofcourse i did the beta for all those many moons ago this is a fun game looks like they did some quality of life fixes mainly the resolution which is nice for sure use the large text i notice they have have some form of monitization in game but to be honest im not sure what it is for yet it says for 30 day donor status which im not sure what that gives you and visual changes now i will say in the past you could change your appearance for free with a command though i dont remember it and it is not on their wiki overall this is still a fun game for what it is and it appears they have added some things and intend to add more? so i was reading some bad reviews about people having issues when clicking and the delay i would say that is server lag which i did not encounter personally this go around but in the past i have encountered that it can be annoying and hopefully they resolve it for everyone their webpage is kind of meh looks like it was made on wix which isint a bad thing but.. i feel like they could do some better art for it perhaps hire someone if you get enough donors or offer people who play a little something if they make something nice i personally hate forums and rarely use them but! with a game like this you need it i would fully suggest a forum so that you can hear about bugs or suggestions in a polite manner ofcourse and not rely on a steam page its not my first thought to post something here if i have a problem. ok so with all that said i would suggest this game for anyone who enjoys older style games where you dont have a quest list and things like that and also retro graphics it can be fun just remember it is built off of older technology so there will be bugs. Also the game keeps saying something about a quest list in the top right? but i have never seen it and one last thing.. macro deamon should just go away no offence but the game is not big enough to worry about a ruined economy due to botters nor do i think anyone would ever make a program for it and mods could easily spot anyone who is using macros which will usually break anyway and you cannot be afk that long before the game kicks you just my two cents. but give it a try if you like retro and go in with a open mind not held to the standards of today pretend we are using windows 98 ;) (edit) so it looks like the monitization on here if tokens which 1 token cost a dollar and from what i can tell 1 token can buy you cosmetic gear which only changes the appearence of your equipment no one can tell unless they inspected you honestly seems a little bit silly if it doesnt have an outward appearence kind of useless because i personally would not go around inspecting anyone but there are not pay to win aspects that im aware of so thats a good thing one thing i would have liked to see this game get over the years would have been a Mini Map V2 had a mini map so it bogles my mind that V3.5 never had one i think if that was added and the GUI was made bigger so things like Quest log in the top right was easier to read that would be nice u could barely read it and sure this has more to do with my resolution than anything but lets be honest none of us can be bothered to set our computers resolution to 800x600 just to make things easier to see and i doubt we would want to. other than that still positive review people just jump in give it a shot and remember its an older game so its going to be different
