Asteroids... But Roguelite

What begins as a simple twist on Asteroids evolves into a tense and action packed space shooter with diverse weaponry and enemies to keep you on your toes through multiple stages and playthroughs.

Solid Arcade throw back with some enough choice to make it fun to try to get a better score.

Quickly ramps up from starting with a single laser with reasonably long reload, to adding on an additional weapon (bomb/multi-laser spread/mine launcher etc.) that allows you to start chaining some sweet combo kills on enemies and asteroids. Blowing up stuff gives you money, at the end of the wave, you get offered a selection of gear to purchase for the next wave. After a few waves, enemies get tougher and you need to get deadlier. After my first hour of improving, I'm consistently getting to wave 3 and I get enough money per wave to get the good weapons. You end up with 3-4 decent weapons that quickly start wiping large parts of the screen with the AOE/exploision-based projectiles. However, the boss level enemies from previous waves are now more common, so the challenge is there to keep you interested. You yourself need to level up in your ability to dodge and correctly prioritize targeting enemies to stay alive. [b]Not a roguelite[/b], your progress doesn't persist through each run, but I prefer it this way. The time invested is put towards improving as a player rather than unlocking more powerful gear to make future runs easier. I'm currently top 11 on the leaderboard, I'm going to push for top 5 if I can! I bought this with a 25% discount and have no regrets, a nice game to pick up and play for a few minutes, that can last longer if you get a good run going!

terrible game you have 5 HP by default and you do not become invulnerable upon getting hit laserbeam attacks instantly oneshot you from full HP to -3 in a single tick this wasn't even a problem in NES games

Twin-stick controls, punchy sound effects, and an assortment of weapons and enemies make this a much more fun and hectic take on Asteroids. The difficulty escalates very quickly after the first few waves, especially when bosses start showing up. Recommended for a simple but challenging arcade experience.

Cool little game. Worth a play on sale. I get the feeling the dev has abandoned this game, just threw it together and tossed it out to see if it could muster up some revenue...probably less than 40 man hours from a single dev to make this game. Too bad, solid mechanics and classic concept...just needs a little meta progression and maybe a couple of unlock able ships with selectable starting weapons.. meta progress could be real simple, armor, weapon recharge speed, base damage, maybe unlockable slots for a random starting upgrade or three.. (special reward for defeating a boss) Or an upgradable lock on system (upgrade how fast it locks on and range of lock on) for aiming would be cool, as I have the worst trouble with twin stick, I always pull the stick as I try to pull the trigger... but its a pipe dream as I am sure there are no updates coming...ever. I hope the dev proves me wrong.

This is an extremely fun game. Every weapon is fun to use, every enemy can kill you if you dont pay attention, sound design is amazing. Totally addictive game, get it!

A very fun throwback to the classic Asteroids game with a fun modern twist and some fun catchy music. I enjoy the upgrades aspect of the game, where I can level up and get more powerful and survive longer. Looking forward to playing more of it.
