Напомнило старые аркадные симуляторы, любил ли я их? Нет. Но на безрыбье и рак рыба. На ностальгии - можно поиграть в неё.

buns this game sucks its actually terrible, you can TELL this was a mobile game just lazily thrown onto pcs for a CASHGRAB when i open the game, i am BOMBARDED with microtransactions, and battle passes for some reason its clear that the developer just wanted to make some extra cash, i was looking forward to the sequel of asteroid, but i was let down yet again there is an option to play in english, but even so, some of the UI is still in another language for some reason this game shouldve been early access, its clear it needed more time to bake in the oven, like, arrow keys to move doesnt even work, this game was built for mobile devices and the aspect ratio makes it painfully obvious, the music is also terrible would not reccomend, wouldnt wish this on my worst enemy
🚨 Same Developer, Same Problems - Asteroid Forward Delivers More Disappointment
🎮 After experiencing the issues with Asteroid from Alestore Inc., I approached Asteroid Forward with cautious optimism. My previous review highlighted concerns about the original game's monetization and unfinished state. Sadly, this sequel repeats every mistake and adds new frustrations.
📱 Mobile Port Disguised as PC Game
The vertical-scrolling design screams mobile origin. 📲 This isn't a creative choice - it's a lazy port that never considered PC players. The store page openly admits this is for "PC and mobile devices," but the execution shows zero adaptation for desktop play. Mouse-only controls feel restrictive, and keyboard input is unreliable. The aspect ratio remains stubbornly phone-oriented, making the experience feel cramped on standard monitors.
💸 Microtransaction Overload Returns
Here we go again. 💰 Battle passes, in-app purchases, and grindy progression dominate the experience from the first minute. The free-to-play model isn't generous - it's predatory. Every system pushes toward spending money, with rewards locked behind paywalls or excessive grinding. Player statistics show the community has largely abandoned this title, and the monetization strategy is a major reason why. Even the soundtrack costs extra at $0.99, nickel-and-diming players for content that should be included.
🌐 Language & Localization Issues
Only English and Italian support exists, limiting the potential audience significantly. 🗣️ Worse, some UI elements remain in Italian even when English is selected - a basic localization bug that should never ship. This suggests rushed development and minimal quality assurance. For a game targeting international Steam audiences, this level of incomplete localization is unacceptable.
⚙️ Technical Problems & Missing Features

❌ Controller support is unclear and potentially broken.
❌ Arrow key movement doesn't function properly.
❌ No sound settings or audio customization options.
❌ Mouse-only gameplay feels restrictive for PC.
❌ UI scaling issues from mobile aspect ratio.
These aren't minor bugs - they're fundamental design oversights that show this game wasn't built for PC first. 🔧
📊 Development & Support Concerns
Released in June 2025, Asteroid Forward has seen minimal meaningful updates. 📉 Developer social media shows activity, but concrete improvements for PC players remain scarce. The community Discord exists, but engagement is low. With only 11 total reviews after 9 months and zero concurrent players currently, this project appears abandoned already - just like the original Asteroid.
✅ What Works (Barely)

✅ Free entry point allows trying without initial payment.
✅ Cross-platform availability for PC and mobile users.
✅ Some core shooting mechanics function adequately.
✅ Discord community exists for player support.

❌ What Doesn't Work (Mostly Everything)

❌ Aggressive battle pass and microtransaction systems.
❌ Obvious mobile port with poor PC adaptation.
❌ Broken or missing keyboard controls.
❌ Incomplete localization with mixed-language UI.
❌ No audio settings or customization options.
❌ Minimal developer support since launch.
❌ Extremely low player count indicates abandonment.
❌ Paid DLC for basic content like soundtrack.
❌ Grindy progression designed to encourage spending.

⚖️ Final Verdict
🎯 Asteroid Forward proves that sometimes sequels make things worse, not better. The same predatory monetization from the first game returns with added battle pass mechanics. 💸 This isn't a passion project - it's a cash grab wearing pixel art clothing. PC players deserve games built for their platform, not mobile ports with keyboard support tacked on as an afterthought. For those who played the original Asteroid, nothing has improved. For newcomers, this is a perfect example of what **not** to do in free-to-play design. The developer had a chance to learn from past mistakes and chose to repeat them instead. Recommendation: Skip This One ❌ Check the player count and decide if a dying game with aggressive monetization is worth your time. Spoiler: it isn't.

Its a fun short game.
