It amazes me to see how far the franchise has fallen...
It's a great game, the story is as well written as previous games, you will see exactly what you would expect from AC games. Full of betrayals, complex and well written historical figures (but a terrible misrepresentation of actual historical events). It would have had 10/10 story if they had just managed to fit the end of ezio's story. Such character does not deserve to die in some 21 minute animated story called Assassin’s Creed: Embers. It's a damn shame to not send him off in a proper way (at least they could have done something like they did with altair, maybe conor could have found out how ezio died, or something about the end of his life).
it's a bit sad that this game just like AC brotherhood and AC2 has some very annoying and game braking bugs. For example the glitchy screen - you will have to delete a specific file from game files for it to be fixed. Other bug is game just crashing. It first happens during one of Altair's memories where you have to escape from masyaf, you have to go into the task manager, details and set affinity for AC revelations, select only CPU0 and only after competing the mission restart the game (if you don't the game will be extremely laggy). The same issue presents itself when killing sahkulu baba at cappadocia. There are other minor bugs but you will be able to finish the game. The other issue is Ubisoft connect just straight up refusing to work with steam, usually restarting their ♥♥♥♥♥♥ launcher fixes it.
As for the gameplay it's a lot like AC brotherhood only new additions are bombs and a hook blade. AC brotherhood was innovative but revelations just repeats a lot of things from previous game. overall it's definitely worth playing. 7.5/10 (If it didn't have literal game braking bugs that make it impossible to finish the game it would be a solid 8/8.5).
It is extremely unfortunate that the game developer turned this masterpiece into some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, the AI slop has a better chance of fixing AC story than ubisoft. They could have explored the story of altair's son (who in comics killed chingiz khan) or ezio's daughter who joins the creed. Such a waste of a franchise...
