After 27 Hours in game enjoying the absolute hell out of this game again (Originally had it on my Xbox) got to Sequence 7 Chapter 3 The Renegade and it just crashes out every time. Tried all the workarounds, Set my CPU Affinity at core 0, lowered everything to 800p 60fps, everything on low, but it just crashes the moment the fight starts. Shame but hopefully the others are good...

Assassin's Creed: Revelations Assassin's Creed: Revelations is a 2011 action-adventure game developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft. It is the fourth installment in the Assassin's Creed series. The video game was released for Microsoft Windows in November 2011. I spend 31 hours in this game, so here is my honest review on it. Story & Characters: A Philosophical Farewell The narrative is phenomenal — mature, layered, and deeply emotional. It’s structured with cinematic precision, offering cutscenes and presentation that heighten the storytelling experience. While the modern-day arc is forgettable and lacks standout moments, Ezio’s journey is nothing short of legendary. Ezio’s maturity and wisdom shine, but Altair steals the spotlight. His sequences are emotionally charged, culminating in one of the most iconic endings in the franchise. Supporting characters like Yusuf and Sofia add humanity and warmth, perfectly complementing Ezio’s final chapter. The antagonist, however, feels less impactful, as the story leans more toward internal conflict than external rivalry. Stealth & Combat: Arsenal of Shadows Stealth remains strong, building on Brotherhood’s foundation with an expanded arsenal — especially the variety of bombs. Missions are designed with stealth in mind, making infiltration engaging and tactical. Still, the absence of a crouch mechanic continues to be a glaring omission. Combat is brutal, with new kill animations that emphasize cinematic flair. Enemy variety adds challenge and freshness, though the system feels slightly less fluid than Brotherhood’s polished mechanics. Parkour: Hookblade Innovation The hookblade is the highlight of Revelations, enhancing parkour with speed, reach, and fluidity. Traversal feels smoother and more dynamic, making it one of the best parkour systems in the series. Constantinople’s vertical design complements this perfectly, offering routes that fulfill the assassin fantasy. Mission Design: Engaging but Familiar Mission structure follows Brotherhood’s peak storytelling style, keeping players engaged with variety and cinematic presentation. While Brotherhood’s missions remain slightly stronger overall, Revelations still delivers memorable sequences that balance narrative and gameplay seamlessly. World & Visuals: Constantinople’s Vibrance Constantinople is vibrant and well-crafted, filled with opportunities for parkour and stealth. However, it doesn’t quite reach the iconic memorability of Rome or Venice. Graphically, Revelations is stunning. Cutscenes, textures, character models, and voice acting showcase Ubisoft at its finest, with presentation that feels polished and immersive. Sound & Performance: A Legendary Score Jesper Kyd’s soundtrack is the crown jewel of Revelations. Surpassing even AC2, it stands as one of the greatest soundtracks in gaming history — haunting, emotional, and unforgettable. Sound design complements this beautifully, immersing players in the bustling streets and quiet rooftops of Constantinople. Performance is smooth and stable, though Desmond’s Animus Island sequences require reverting to an older build, which introduces jitter. Given their limited value, the trade-off isn’t worth it. Final Verdict Assassin’s Creed: Revelations is a masterful conclusion to Ezio’s saga and a fitting farewell to Altair. With mature writing, phenomenal character work, innovative parkour, and one of the best soundtracks ever composed, it proves an utterly brilliant swansong. It’s not just the end of a story — it’s the closing of a legend. Rating: 10/10 – Masterpiece
Rest in peace
