Assassin's Creed® III Remastered

One of the most underrated entries of the AC franchise. Back in the day, the U.S. setting and the new protagonist felt refreshing after renaissance Italy & Constantinapole. It was a completely new perspective in the franchise, which introduced the Americas & naval combat, what became a major aspect of the franchise later. I think the game captured the essence of the american frontier perfectly (besides Red Dead Redemption). The enviroment, and the architecture of historic Boston & New York are stunning. It also tells a patriotic tale from american history with heroism, drama, and we can get a look on the relationship between Native Americans and the colonisers. On the other hand, the prologue is extremely long, the game opens really slowly, and certain mechanisms feel outdated after 14 years. The present day storyline is unnecessary, feels boring, and gets you out of the vibe. However, this game really deserves the praise. No other game told us about the American Revolution so well.
