As someone who has played A LOT. of online CCGs and TCGs alike, I cannot fully recommend this game. Yes, the game uses AI art. This is common now because small studios will attempt to make live service games like this and don't have time to create unique art. Although the art isn't terrible, there's something just uninspiring about it. This game takes direct elements from MTG and wears it on it's sleeve, especially its commander mechanic lol. (is a hero power button, but its a counter system like magic for the cards abilities, and its a unit-esque portrait when you hover said button.) There's an oddly annoying mechanic, where you have to place your unit in the backrow, wait a turn, then move it forward, then, hold on...... move it forward again to attack the enemy face. One round of S.S. is enough. I understand the need to make a new way of playing, but i'm not sure this is it. You also have to decide every turn, whether you want to draw or gain mana. The U.I. is super rudimentary, with most things in the interface just being thin bordered squares. The cards themselves are not terrible (IE the effects and power levels) but a lot of them are just copy and paste hearthstone or magic effects with this games "types/races/factions W/E it is". I commend the creators for trying this, but simply changing yugioh's backrow into an entrance to the battlefield is not making me want to play 15 minutes into the game lol. Maybe i'll review this later, as it's still in early access.

A robust, well-constructed, strategic card game that most closely resembles a stylish version of Magic: the Gathering, but with a layer of tactical play that sets it distinctly apart. Many different strategies and archetypes are viable with over 300 cards to craft and build decks with. I've built half a dozen different synergy-based combo decks already and I feel like ive barely scratched the surface of whats possible. The tactical dimension to the game is a great additional layer on top of something like Magic or Hearthstone. Positioning units to guard, or block an opponent's critical attack feels great, as does trapping units on the enemy's back row in order to stifle their creature production. Ranged creatures and flyers really do feel like they hit different as the battlefield is large enough for them to have real impact. The tactical positioning of one's creatures creates interesting game play moments, such as whether to leave a ranged unit in the back row where its safely able to bombard the enemy front line, or to move it up in order to free up a slot to summon a new monster. Plenty of other small things stood out to me about Artovya, such as the unique ability to start with a couple of free 'exchange' cards at the beginning of each match, which really smooth one's draws and allow each deck to always function well enough to put up a good fight. No losing to mana screw or mana flood here. The free energy card that the person playing 2nd in the match starts with is also a nice way to mitigate the advantage of winning the starting player die roll. The 'situation' cards are another, more spicy touch that i also really enjoyed. they made the same matches with the exact same decks feel totally different every time we played, as their chaotic effect on the battlefield often swings the game wildly in one or another player's favor. Overall a solid game with engaging play which feels surprisingly balanced considering how fledgling it still is. I recommend trying it, and I hope to play against some of you on the ranked ladder!
Note: Dead PvP game This game contains no meaningful single player content. There's no viably populated servers/active player population. This game cannot be played as intended.

Warning: Third Party Account This game requires you to create a third party "Artovya" account... there's no valid reason for this in a PC game when SteamWorks is available. This is often done to harvest private data and profile you, with potential sale and transmission of your private data to third parties. The developers will probably argue that you can trust them, but if they were trustworthy they wouldn't demand you create a third party account. This represents a considerable risk to gamers due to the privacy and security implications of developers that wish to bypass Steam and harvest user data. Remember, sometimes if the product is free, YOU are the product.

Warning: AI Slop This game is partially or completely made with talentless, soulless AI generated content.

Warning: Microtransaction infested mobile-tier game! This game is infested with a toxic mobile app style cash shop. You will be prompted to and expected to give money to the developers through this cash shop to buy in-game goods so you can play the game.
"Artovya" looks exactly like one of thousands of nasty mobile apps infesting the "free" section of Steam, but it's not really free. While I couldn't find this on the app stores, for all intents and purposes this is a mobile app... it has all the same qualities, from the mobile app tier graphics to the shallow gameplay you expect from mobile app cash harvesters. We can't say why this wasn't accepted on the mobile app stores, maybe it's because Google and Apple have QA departments, and Valve has "Steam Direct". This failed kickstarter is from the somewhat homophobic developers at Stand Off Software (famous for making bigoted games making fun of the LGBTQIA+ community), but this time they went full scam, tried to get money out of people on Kickstarter and on Steam for a bunch of digusting, lazy AI slop. There's a special place in hell for AI slop pushers, especially those who try to get YOUR money for someone else's chatbot. AI slop is an appalling insult to all genuine creators everywhere, and to all gamers. There's only a superficial game here. The game visuals and the game itself are incredibly shallow... think of them as the cheap, bright, colourful plastic cabinet dress theme on a poker machine at the casino. That's basically what this is. So really, the mobile app "game" is just a veneer, a thin skin wrapped around a nasty, predatory mobile app cash shop. Putting that toxic mobile app monetisation aside... this is basically a mobile app on the wrong platform. I didn't spend thousands on a gaming PC so I could pretend it's an iPhone, and I don't think you did either... this kind of mobile app has no place in your Steam library. The developers abandoned this 1 year and 1 month ago. It will never be completed. This unfinished game is just polluting Steam and making it harder for gamers to find genuinely, completely made games. Despite not being able to finish the game, the developers apparently had all the time in the world to build that fully functional cash shop, and financial transaction back-end system into the game. That shows the developers primary goal was just to set out to gouge cash from Steam gamers just like mobile devs do with mobile peasants. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. This game is infested with mobile app store like microtransactions. This is a consumer hostile model that we don't need to see on PC. It's deceptively priced to gouge gamers, and that's a reason in itself to avoid this. In terms of public reception, this failed. There's over 130 million unique gamers visiting Steam every month. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 4 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Since free games don't contribute to your game collector badge and other profile stuff, is this a worthwhile addition to your Steam library? Nope. This isn't worth downloading. I didn't pay money, but I still feel almost as ripped off as the people Stand Off Software scammed out of real money for this crap.
The art looks super generic and inconsistent. The UI is unpolished, in places unfinished-looking, and if you aren't well-versed in digital CCGs you might have trouble with the UI since it doesn't explain things well. The tutorials I played were rough: they explained some things but left out many details that I had to try and fit together on my own.
В целом хорошая карточная игра. Даже нейросеточные арты годные
I really enjoyed this game. I have to play it for a bit longer, but I can already see the cards are well thought out and plays well. It also has some new mechanics that I have not seen before that I really like. I think its very well done for an indie company such as this.
I am a friend of the developer and have been helping play test this game. I received this game for free from the developer. I'm not usually a fan of deck building games, but I've put more time into Artovya than I have all other games of this type. The mechanics are solid, there's enough variability in deck composition that there's no "One True Meta" to playing the game. If you enjoy MTG, Hearthstone, and the like, I highly recommend Artovya. Who knows, you may end up playing against me with the first deck I've ever built.
Поверьте, вам это не надо.
I was really enjoying the game, then started getting SSL CA Certificate error message when I tried to log in. Now I can't play.
