dying costs rank now which you gonna do when you are attacking the objective, instead of playing battlefield barbie at the arsenal, which renders the motivation to do so to NULL. Game Breaking update at this time of review. like for real
this game has an identity crisis, it wants to be Squad, Hell Let Loose, Rising Storm and Arma 3, all at the same time. And in return, it does everything worse than those games by themselves. I get it, it's pretty much a tech demo for Arma 4, but dear god I hope Arma 4 is nothing like this. before someone says this game is better than Arma 3 gameplay wise, no ♥♥♥♥ it's better, it's a new game, but it wants to be Arma 3 with the sandbox, editor and zeus and it lacks severely in that regard. when compared to other tactical shooters like Squad and HLL, they are just way better games with significantly more polish, realism and smoother gameplay. don't see why anyone would ever play this over Squad and HLL tbh
The workshop is so hilariously terrible that it deserves a negative review. If you don't believe me, you can look at it yourself online. I'll be honest, the cold war era sort of falls flat to me so I try to mod the game to be more modern. Oh my god. The workshop design is SO laughably bad that it's almost satirical, like BI wanted to create the worst interface humanly possible, similar to that Reddit challenge where users created the worst volume sliders. The whole thing just sucks. 99.9% of the addons are WIP or busted or just junk spam BS. Mostly just compilations of other mods. Want some new weapon addons? You're either going to have to download RHS or the other very first addons that have way too many subscribers since they're some of the first that appeared during the games launch, which artificially inflate "popularity", OR you are going to have to sort by New and find the one addon per 5 pages that's actually new content. OR you can search for some very oddly specific gun in hopes it's been made (it hasn't) and hope it isn't just some Brazilian server compilation mod. Not to mention, spawning them ingame is such a mess and I don't feel like getting into that can of worms. And the same can be said for just about any category of mods. It's just so, so bad. Why they decided to ditch the Steam workshop is beyond me. Are there literally any other alternatives here? It straight up makes me not want to play the game because I don't have the patience to work with this workshop.
Game is overrun by griefers and idiots who sabotage their own team. There is no method for banning or blocking these players, and they can rejoin minutes after being kicked. This wouldn't be a big deal on short match game, but you can often find yourself hours into a game when a team of hackers/griefers bring their whole discord server on and start wrecking the game to the point it is unplayable and unwinnable, just an endless stream of respawning with basic kit to the barrel of a gun in your face. Would not recommend to anyone.
Wasted 30€. I wasn't aware that every time I joined a server, I’d have to wait about 20 minutes to install a huge number of mods—only to end up with a laggy experience despite getting 60–80 FPS. I tried troubleshooting with my PC, graphics settings, servers, and so on, but it’s just not worth the effort; I’ve completely lost interest in the game because of these issues—especially the need to download data every time I join a server, which usually takes twenty/thirty minutes even with my 1000 Mbps download, 2 ms idle latency, and 500 Mbps upload speeds. I tried for a refund but it was recused because of the time "played" (basicly I tried 4 servers, so 3/4 hours to set up and download each server's content for mostly 20/30 minutes per server)
...dann erinnert euch an eure Ausbildung. Vertraut eurem Trupp. Vertraut eurem Funker. Also überprüft eure Magazine. Kontrolliert euren Nebenmann. Liebe absolut alles an diesem Spiel <3
