Great main cast and a decent story ruined by bug after bug after bug after bug. Lets just list the bugs i saw. - I had to be bent over the entire cave section bc i'd clip onto the roof (I'm 5ft 10in) - I had one moment my guns wouldn't reload and i had to quit app and reopen - My left hand would constantly quit being able to grab weapons. It could still do doors and other things. but gernades and guns I HAD TO toss onto the ground. not a shelf but specifically the ground to be able to pick them up. - the drop button doesn't work as displayed - I had hallucinating freddies. (They would despawn randomly in fights) - Freddies came from behind you. Like back to a wall that has no way of entry one has never came from that way and suddenly pushing you off the wall was one behind you for a cheap shot, -they go thru doors more often than not. -Got stuck in the radio tower had to load (twice) -Got stuck on an empty clip, couldnt grab it either had to load. -flashlight wouldn't turn on first time. i thought it was a fuse bc of that - red dot sight is WAY off the iron for almost all guns This was all in single player. Holy ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥ dev how did this clear the playtest cycle. I'm scared to see the 2nd game. will probably just watch a playthru.
Only at 50% off minimum. It's a decent game and a fun and short experience, but I can't think of a good reason to not just buy the second game that has many more (advertised) features that this game is lacking or would assuredly be refined and fixed. A few examples being: -Some settings reset in the menu every time you launch the game. -Quite a few sections are blocked off during combat with invisible barriers which feels cheap as hell. -The closest thing to melee combat is throwing objects which I have not tried but from what I have seen, it's far more difficult and there's little incentive to learn it. You can't melee enemies who are too close, despite there being items in the game like hammers which would make great melee weapons. -There's little to no animations for the firearms short of running out of ammo and a full gun which I had foolishly hoped for. -Despite having customization options, as far as I know, there was no way to view my characters which was slightly disappointing but is definitely a nitpick. -You can't shoot through any surfaces in this game, including many gaps between wood or materials of the wall. I don't know if that's common for VR games, but it was a negative to me. -Many of the guns have little to no differences apart from magazine sizes. -There is almost no recoil which means there's no reason to two hand any weapons in this game, which felt very weird but somewhat worked with the game-play I guess. In short, while there's some positives of this game, I can't find a silver lining for anyone to buy this game at full price or anything above $15. It's action packed, fun, and witty, but then so what? There are many more experiences like this that have some unique twist that this one did not. No unique story-line, no deep character, no surprises. Just an action/drama zombie game where you kill zombies. Maybe it would have been better with friends instead of solo.
i think the paceing is really bad the first like few minutes you shoot a few zombies like not even half an hour later you have to defend yourself against a huge horde already the way menu stuff is selected is cool i don't like belt instant reloads i like to reload my guns myself, i keep gettin stuck beweteen table and chairs trying to look for loot there :/ maybe the game is better in coop cuz of the huhge hords in what feels like the first 10 minutes or so also i don't get why i have to hold a button and look at the gun/item i want to drop just lemme drop it by holding the button man cmon would like to add after completeing main game that the main character is annoying af i just want him to shut the f up. the main campaign is really short
Yes. I am recommended this game. Its very short experience, Roughly around 3 hours to finish. But along 3 hour ride, You will get to have fun trudging on and shooting many zombies. The zombies variation are basic. Slow one, Fast one, Armor one, Bullet sponge one. But all share the basic rule.......You shoot them in the head and they died. So fighting them doesn't pose much issue or any tactic. SImply find a good camping spot and blasted them all. The guns are surprisingly varied, You got Shotgun, Pistol/Revolver, Submachine Gun and Grenade Launcher. The variation are usually on the Pistol/Revolver type, The best part is that each weapon type share universal ammo type. Meaning if you collect what's look like a Glock Magazine, You are magically able to reload the Python revolver the same as well. The reload mechanism is very arcade. Don't expect to reload one round at a time in the magazine, Pulling the gun slide and shoot like in more sophisticated VR game. Here, You just press the button to unload your gun, Pulling that gun near your chest and Voila. All ready to go. Whilst the interactive system aren't that sophisticated. You got to remind yourself this game came out on the early day of VR so much of its mechanic and system aren't Half Life: Alyx's Level. Still, Its a good game to blasted both zombies and your time away. The best part of this game in my opinion. Is the Voice acting. At first I thought it would be just cheap and get the job done. LIttle did I know the actor will giving his all on voice acting. You will feel the happiness, The madness and the anguished just by listening to his voice. Very well done!! I recommended this game. Buy at your own volition. Its fun and should giving you a good experience without much headache.
Initially didn't get on with this game. After 20 minutes of not being able to hit the side of a barn door from 3 feet I gave up. After speaking with a friend I found out this was a common problem easily fixed. So after a bit of playing with the option I got the aim better and off I went killing zombies. I'm not a FPS player on the whole and if that's all there was to the game I would probably have got bored with it after an hour or so. There are puzzles and obstacles to overcome that keep the interest for people like me, and horde of charging zombies to gun down if that's what your into. Fun in the sun with zombies and a gun.
