Watch a simulated 2D world including weather, plants, animals, and humans in this casual sandbox game about nature and life. Start meteor showers, spawn new animals, or just let things play out naturally. It's like a screensaver you can play.

This game is great! There's a surprising amount of depth to the events and mechanics. It gives rise to believable and unpredictable outcomes and it's entertaining to watch little civilizations rise and fall. It manages to scratch an indirect-control itch which very few games out there even try to tackle. My only gripe is with performance, it deteriorates noticeably as time goes on and things get busier, hopefully this can be improved somehow. Some things I'd like to see are the ability to set conquest flags (or goals/enemies/biases), and a way to tweak random events. In any case, this is a really good game if you like the genre, and you can get it for less than the price of a coffee.
Good simulation. WHEN UPDATE!!!
Not that good, not that fun, and not that worth it. 3/10 Literally just a screensaver.
Absolutely incredible value for the price. Have spent literal hours just sitting and watching the world unfold, with beautifully simulated weather, water flow, erosion, temperature, wind, etc. - I'm hoping either for further development on this game/simulation (perhaps unlikely) or for the developer to eventually be able to create another fantastic worldsim-type game like this. If you enjoy sandbox, god-game, or life/evolution simulator games this will be right up your alley. The UI and the optimization leave a little to be desired (I have a decently powerful PC but running anything larger than a 20x20 grid tends to slow it down to <20 fps) but if you have literally a buck, a curious mind, and even a passing interest in watching a beautiful pixel world and its systems and cycles - including watching animals have population booms and busts, observing natural selection processes, seeing various human factions fight over the most fertile lands, and noting how clouds rise from the forests after dusk to flow towards the still-warm oceans - then Ardarium is 110% worth your time. 9/10 for me, 10/10 given the amazing enjoyment:dollar ratio
Universe sandbox + worldbox = Ardarium
GOOD
Another peaceful day in a giant space rock is going to hit my housevil wonder why its called that?... all well guess i better turn my back and look away from my house i toiled on
does what it says and is dirt cheap. like a fun little ant farm/god game to have run for a bit
It's a fun toy and surprisingly in-depth with some of it's mechanics.
