Do not buy this game. Hasn't been updated in over a year. It's abandonware now.

SLOW SERVERS ,,,, I THINK THE SERVER IS HOSTED ON A LAPTOP LOL.
i was very excited to play this, but after buying it and realizing production has stopped its become very disheartening. no updates even after i purchased it a year later. people are mad for the hack and slash elements, i don't understand the gripe myself but i like it and the real time combat as well. right now the game is very dead. low player base and to really get somewhere you need help, you can grind for days to get the ship that you need to take on stuff higher up but honestly its not worth it. as high hopes i had for this, this is the first game on steam where i wish i could get my $10 back
The game feels like it has potential and maybe it will grow and get better. However, the game has no players. And the community has serious issues. Theres a large number of complaints of lag (I've had lag spikes myself too, not too bad) But I've never seen anyone complaining about lag have their issue taken seriously. The discord is full of people who just mock those having issues, implying because they personally have no issues, nothing is wrong. This game runs on one server from what I can tell, and if you have a bad route to that US server you are screwed. Check for newer reviews then mine for a more up to date opinion. As rude as these people act I don't see it ever hovering over the 1-2 active players it currently has.
Didnt take long for playerbase to die. Game didnt even last 6 months. Such a cool concept too. If I could get my money back, I would.
- Bosses Bug Out Specfically Pine Peaks Voyage 3 snakes. Sometimes no health pool and you have to port to city and go back to kill the boss and he takes 1 shot to die, just a waste of time imo. - Slow lags when in groups 3 or larger. Pings to the servers shoots to 1000 to 2000 at times. At the Sea and in voyages. Can't blame the person's internet, I'm specifically on a 2GB Fiber Connection, and this is the only game I've ever had to lag out on me. My room mate also games with me with no issues. This game will random disconnect as well. and I'll ask her and she's still on the game she's playing without an issue. - Never any patch notes. - Not many ways to make money. - Farming is kinda bland with not much to do just collect. - sometimes you can't respawn in voyages it's just a tiny boat and keeps saying respawn even with coins if that has anything to do with it. Your only option is go home even logging out doesn't fix it For the price of the game, game should be running smooth without issues. Right now I wouldn't recommend buying. I really hope you guys fix stuff, fix the sea lag, fix the bosses bugging (mainly the 3rd voyage with the 3 snake bosses) You can tell it's going to be a bugged boss fight in the beginning because the health pool is empty) I'll consider changing in the future if there is improvements. I'm still going to continue playing because I have friends that play that also experience similar and if all same issues.
I liked the concept and artwork, easy controls and no motion sickness. However the reason I can't recommend this game is because after an hour, I'm bored. Poor lore, game activity is too repetitive (a really dull version of half mash clicking and turn based combat), and not rewarding enough to inspire me to continue. That and sometimes I can't log in to the server to play (why it needs a server is beyond me)
Fun game to play with friends, not so much a solo game, so make sure you play as a group to maximize benefits. Looking forward to the next regions unlocking. It is a bit of a grind to level up, especially sailor exp unless you attend a community hosted event, then you can get mega exp.
