Unfortunately the PvP aspect of this game no longer exists. Every fight you have is against a cheater, it is so obvious because you die in a few seconds and then you check their Steam account and it’s always 1-2 level… I loved this game, I have played 600+ in total and nothing gave me this satisfaction in years, but Embark is working on new projects so they can make more money instead of actually fixing their good game. Anyone with brain cells, jobs and friends spare yourselves from the disappointment and play any other game.
Oh sure, ARC Raiders is totally balanced. ARCs are overtuned, rats camp every corner, and hackers roam around like they own the place, but hey, that’s PvPvE, right? PvE players get punished, campers get rewarded, and cheaters get to cosplay as esports pros. Perfect design. Definitely worth losing 90% of the playerbase.
Game has just been consumed by people who are using cheats. The game is fun and i really want to enjoy it like i use when it first came out. But like i said, almost everyone is cheating now and its very obvious Embark isnt doing anything about it because they just dont care.
Embark proactively protects the cheaters and hackers in this game. I've reported the same player multiple times, and eventually given a ban on the Arc Raiders discord for "spamming". Essentially reporting the player too many times. The player live streams himself live on twitch. All the evidence needed. Embark did nothing. The hacker in question is Soto_szn on twitch.
Embark is a joke of a gaming studio! they have zero clue what the players actually want and they cant do anything about the cheaters and dupers. Embark shot themselves in both feet and wonder why the playerbase all left!
Needs dedicated PvE
it was great but the devs abandoned it
dont waste your money or time.
When *ARC Raiders* first launched, it had one of the best communities I've experienced in a long time. People actually talked over voice chat, teamed up, negotiated, and created memorable encounters. The social aspect was what made the game stand out. Unfortunately, that community has deteriorated over time. Public voice chat has become a mess, with far too many people treating it like a 2010-era Call of Duty lobby, throwing around racial slurs and other toxic garbage. Instead of adding to the experience, voice chat often makes it worse. Then there are the rats. Players who sit at extraction waiting to ambush people who've spent an entire raid looting, or the ones who refuse to say a single word over voice chat until after they've already downed you. It completely undermines the unique player interactions that originally made the game special. At this point, it feels less like a game of strategy and more like a contest to see who can exploit other players' time the most. And before anyone says "get good," some of us have careers, families, and responsibilities outside of gaming. I don't have unlimited hours every day to grind or recover from losing everything to someone camping an extract for 20 minutes. I want to play a game where I can make meaningful progress without feeling like every session is wasted. If the developers aren't willing to separate the PvP experience, then at least let the community host private servers. Give players the ability to create their own rulesets and communities so those of us who enjoyed the original cooperative, social atmosphere have somewhere to play. Right now, the game's biggest problem isn't its mechanics... it's the culture that's developed around them. With that said, I've uninstalled at this point... I'm moving on...
