I recently bought this game after watching a bunch of videos and finally biting the bullet to give it a go since it looked amazing, was reviewed amazingly and what not. But honestly? I think this game has some of the worst cheating in a shooter... and it feels awful to play when you are constantly running into people cheating. My last game that I played, I had a guy on my team called "ICheatMommy" telling us that he was cheating and that he could see every player on the map, running around murdering everyone and then yelling at the enemies telling them to "Shut up ♥♥♥♥♥, I am cheating" on a brand new steam account. Like how does that get past even a single game??? I have had items refunded to me through the systems ban system, from encountering cheaters multiple times... While I appreciate the sentiment, my experience was already ruined. I also joined right when a dupe exploit was found and every single person I have run into has an obscene amount of bombs and what not... and players are just like "Oh yeah don't worry about it, they just used the dupe exploit last week" I do have other things about the game that I truly dont like - like how many items their are to gather and how limited the inventory space is. How the balance of the higher tier guns are out of whack, once you have them it feels broken. The toxicity of some players (pretty normal in shooters). But none of these are truly game breaking in my opinion, they are just minor negatives in my opinion. It truly does suck because the games gunplay is phenomenal, the graphics are quite amazing for a shooter and the map design is unparalleled. Performance is also quite amazing, but that really is quite normal with shooters. When I was having fun, I was having a LOT of fun. But more often then not the game left me frustrated and annoyed because of cheaters and the negatives I listed above.
garbage dupe raiders
this game is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ass, i get the best loot in the game, i get ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ railed the next game. So i go back to lobby, i get in the game, kill 2 players, then. A broken ass drone decides its my time to go, so i get obliterated by a flying robot funded by elon musk himself. Then i uninstall the game and never think about this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game again
Game causes full system crashes on a kernel level. Honest players run the posibility of bricking their PCs due to Arc's anti-cheat (Denuvo) that's embroidered into your PCs nervous system; all while hackers are literally running the game and even making communities amongst themselves. You'll see that in Twitch, streamed out in the open with zero repercussion. I don't want to say any streamers names because I don't want them to spawn revenue off twitch partnership. It wouldn't take long to find, however.
Overhyped pos game. I knew it from release but still fell for the hype trap. never again.
you had to be there at launch to find this game enjoyable, now it's a dumpster fire of bad decisions from the devs.
Мертвая игра для читеров и дюперов.
Got home from work to check out the rewards for my 4th expedition and tried loading up saying I was perma banned. Was so confused because I myself do not cheat or taken advantage of exploits. I reached out to customer service and appealed my ban because I was confused how I fell in the category of being permanently banned when I don’t cheat. Today I got my response that my ban was correctly placed due to duplication exploit. No explanation on how it happened and what caused there system to flag me for duplication exploit when I haven’t taken part in it. I know there’s duped gear in the game due to dupers so how can you tell what’s a duped weapon when the durability is all different? It makes no sense as to why I was banned freaking PERMANENTLY. So almost 1k hours in this game gone, beta I participated, all my progress, skins I’ve purchased, damn time and money invested in this game without a clear explanation not even a chance to fight for your case. A correct perma ban is a correct perma ban and no chance to appeal again, Goodbye. There right and you’re wrong. Karma corrects and it’s gonna catch up with embark studios.
It was my first extraction shooter, and I really, really loved it. It was new, I loved the uneasiness that every match provided, and I do think that a PvE exclusive mode could work as a way to cool down post PVP, as well as factor in much more of the social aspect in the game! With that said, the PvPvE is great, I enjoyed the combat and it felt thoroughly rewarding. I really want to love this game again, but as its going now - Embark either gave up or doesn't quite know what to do with this game. After a series of odd balance changes and listening to the .1% that whined and got their way, I can safely say I've gotten bored, and the game now feels rather stale. I'm holding out hope for the update in October and from there on, and I really do want to get back into this game, but right now I can't get past the menu screen. I did 2 expeditions, which helped curb the boredom slightly, but besides that; game needs regular content updates to look forward to. On the mechanical side, however, game ran smoothly on my rig, and the sound design was superb. I love Arc Raiders, I'm hoping Embark will get its act together.
