Amazon Games only wish they had this much originality
The game lags, combat is a chore, building is a pain, the server is often empty, and I've been kicked from the game randomly dozens of times. BUT... This might be one of my favorite games I've ever played. The world is dripping with atmosphere! Every adventure you take out in the deserted wasteland is always eerie. The sounds of the monsters, the blanket of darkness the surrounds you, and the soundtrack... Oh my god, the soundtrack is just amazing! It's simple but it gets the job done incredibly well. Hell, even the text to speech voice from npcs is somehow charming. Animyst is a weird and VERY janky game, but I love it. I want to see everything this game has to offer. It's hard to recommend this game. You will be frustrated by it's unpolished gameplay and janky mechanics. However, if you're a weirdo like me. You'll love everything else it has to offer. Is it a bad game? Yes, but it's an incredible experience. 10/10
Has great potential if a few issues are sorted out. Came to this game from the "worst mmo ever" series by josh strife hayes and sa the game hasn't changed much from his review. It's empty and has almost nothing to do in it which is both charming and adds to the atmosphere while also making the game a bit full to play for long stretches of time. If yih can get some friends to play it for more than an hour uts has potential for greatness.
It's not a game, it's a trip. Highly recommend for atmosphere/visual tourism/walking simulator.
