HFT Games, makes some of the best open world AVN, I can't even call them AVN, AVGM- Adult Video Game Movie. Fully voice acted, full 3d models, even though it has some square edges, but who really watches elbows and wrists when banging. Anyway, this is a true Noir type game, and the characters really sell it. Angel is so adorable and sexy, and watching her walk down the road of pure debauchery is rather interesting. Did I say fully voice acted? Yes! Her voice makes it even more sexy, and when she screams out when orgasms hit is sublime to hear. Kudos to the voice actors. It is not straight open world, it is more like movie scenes being transitioned together. As I said AVGM. Just a suggestion for future games: When women release, allow their release to run out of them. When men release inside the women, allow the release to run back down. This will make the game way more immersive. P.S. Seems their tech is limited when it comes to body fluids. Every game they make has bubble gum ♥♥♥

Get a bad boring video. Play it back at 5% of the speed. For sex scenes: delete them apart from 5 second long loops. Repeat those all for 1h each. Make it non-skippable (space bar does NOT skip). In between walk with about 1m per hour in random directions as you have no clue where to go to. You can't make any decisions. That is what this publisher calls "game". Pick a random game anywhere, it can't be worse.

[h2]The game engine:[/h2] If you have read my review of other AVN's by HFT games then you can skip to the particulars. Otherwise, the game engine used by HFT games seems to be a little different to many AVN's in that feels like it is rendering the scenes on the fly in real time, no pre-rendered animations here which may account for the black screen that often appears before each scene as it pre-renders some things. It has to do this as within limits you can adjust the MC's physical characteristics, which means her clothes have to be rendered to fit. While this works well most of the time there are the occasional clipping/depth culling issues that result in parts of the MC's body showing instead of her clothes. There are two selectable fixed angles for viewing each scene but the on the fly rendering means that with the mouse & keyboard you can view the action from any angle, including as it turns out from within the characters bodies, which give a unique perspective but no internal pop shot on the internal finish. The female character is quite attractive and well animated although it is a little odd how her beasts swing when she turns as they appear to be a lot less firm than they do the bulk of the time. [h2]The particulars:[/h2] For this particular AVN the lack of pre-rendered scenes mean you can set the colourisation from B&W to colourised B&W to full colour & the film grain from none to quite grainy if you really want you get into the feeling of an old hollywood 20's/'30's era detective movie, complete with the classic gravel voice over of a hard drinking (having seen too much of the cruelty people do to each other) gumshoe. Which offer a uniqueness you probably won't find in many other AVN's although how many people will bother to set it to anything other than grain free full colour is unknown. Most of the time you are controlling the female MC but occasionally you take control of the PI she hires to help her. If you have seen the intro movie that pretty much describes what happens, the story is very linear with no parallel/branching story-lines which can limit replayability and only a couple of places where you can make choices, it took me about 6 hours to complete. The main screen has sort of chapter headings, so once a scene has been completed you can replay it at any time, in each scene you have some control over the lighting and have to balance Angel's nerves with her excitement in order for the scene to play out fully which again adds a novelty I had not seen in other AVN's at that time. You will spend a little time walking around a scene to reach the spot where the action happens, and once it starts you occasionally have a choice of activities/positions but there is not a lot of depth to the story as it soon becomes apparent that every new chapter/scene will follow the same basic pattern although the XXX actives will vary. [h2]Conclusion:[/h2] If you like a good story to go with your ANV and particularly if you like branching stories so you can re-play other options then this may not be for you but at around £10 it is worth a punt as the graphics and animations are maybe not the highest resolution out there but are quite good given the apparent on the fly rendering, I would give it a 7/10. Of the three HFT games products I have tried (Caroline's Fantasies and Rise of a Porn Star being the others) this, for me, has the fullest storyline but all appear to use the same engine, voice for the female MC and run along similar lines.
