Amanda the Adventurer 2

I found this game not as good as the first, but it was still an interesting experience! I still think the lore is amazing and I am keen to play the third one to see the conclusion of the game!

Интересное продолжение первой игры. Головоломки стали интереснее, некоторые вообще непонятные (для меня это была первая головоломка с книгами). Сюжет всё также не полностью сказан, поэтому жду что в 3 части нам дадут ответы

!!PROGRESS RESET (slight spoilers!)!! To help other people avoid a problem i had with this game, i'm leaving this comment!! Sometime throughout the game, it will look like your progress has completely reset. THIS. IS. INTENTIONAL!! Please do not do what i did and go down an hour and a half rabbit hole on how to fix this "bug". Do not be fooled, and continue playing! Put the code in the safe again, take the tape, put it into the TV, and soon you'll make BIG progress. Hope this helps!!! (BTW i loved the game!!! I love the story behind Amanda and it was so well done! 100% recommend!)

More of the same goodness if you enjoyed the first game. Some of the puzzles are a more convoluted than they really should be, but it's still a solid addition to the analogue horror genre. If you [I]haven't[/i] played the first game, I'd suggest starting there. The mechanics, the graphics, the puzzles all basically build off the original while expanding the story. Given that there are so many opportunities for custom text input, my biggest nit is that I wish there were more easter eggs. Amanda the Adventurer is already weird in that it dips its toes into one of my favorite hard-to-find genres, but spending your time thinking about a clever answer just to be shot down with a generic (or zero) response hurts a little. Overall, challenging and strange. As with my review of the first game, I'll be picking up the next one at the next sale.
