As good as it was at release, this is a really good example of a classic game updated to contemporary times, and is as great a historical RTS game as one could ask for. The new campaigns are quite interesting, and the new civilizations help keep the game fresh and interesting, while still preserving the core mechanics that anchor the game in quality. Strongly recommended for any fans of historical RTS games or RTS games in general.
One of if not the best RTS game of all time. The updated graphics and quality of life improvements are well worth the price.
muy bueno
Genre defining RTS, for a reason. 5/5

Age of Empires II is one of the greatest RTS games of all time. I have played it extensively in both singleplayer and multiplayer content. It is a real gem and 100% worth playing. It is absolutely worth paying full price. You get a huge amount of content in singleplayer, and it is more than worth the money for that alone. If you have any interest in playing an RTS game, give this one a try!
