We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Generally a fun game, definitely not anywhere near brain-breaking level so nice to relax with after a long day. The addition of a new storyline definitely is what keeps me invested, and generally I enjoy the node/mind-map system a lot, with all of its cool mechanics to reconstruct the events. Big props to design and visualisation part I do have some minor issues with graphics and voice acting (the accents being all over the place really got me at some point), but most of all I would like to note these things - the pace feels incredibly slow. There is no dash button, no way to skip very slow dialogue if you see it for the first time, and overall it gets a bit daunting when you have to go back and forth multiple times at this slow pace and then sit out an equally slow cut scene (it makes golden moustache hunt pretty frustrating too) - i noticed that some clues/details jump out of nowhere. Of course I am aware of the original novel, but considering how the devs praised it as a well-constructed investigation, I was really dumbfounded when things like red kimono appeared out of nowhere for only 2 particular characters in a completely unrelared questioning line (I checked if I skipped any dialogue, and checked if I didn't see any nodes but it didn't appear anywhere), as well as some logic not being very solid in, again, more minor details (Locke case - nanny denies stuff about Noah after already confessing to it). It should not be a big deal but in a game that is built on a carefully crafted narrative I feel like it is a miss - I genuinely wish there were more puzzles, even if they were unrelated to the case at hand. Maybe it is a professor Layton fan problem, but I was a bit sad that not all chapters included absolutely arbitrary small puzzles. This one is less of an actual downside and more of a personal wish, though I am still somewhat in the middle of the story so I might update this review after I finish. Again, by all means not a bad game at all, I would give it a solid 3/5

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 30: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I reaaaaaaaaally wanted to like this, but God, it is just a slog. The writing and all the voice work aside from Poirot himself, is comically bad, and whilst the addition of a secondary lead was interesting because it allowed for the plot to be expanded beyond just what is happening on the train, the way they chose to end the story what lost me. It was just baffling. They tried to go for a 'twist' ending but considering the very famous twist of the original story, it just falls so incredibly flat it's laughable. If I was not in the habit of 100 percenting all games I play, I would have dropped it when it logically should have ended in chapter 8. I really can't recommend it.
Before starting the game, I was already somewhat familiar with the story, but despite that I still felt excited while discovering each new part of the mystery. I really enjoyed the variety of tasks in the Workshop (identifying character profiles, putting events in chronological order, connecting facts), which made the investigation feel engaging and interactive. The gameplay was smooth overall (although sometimes a bit too slow for my taste) and I didn’t encounter any bugs. However, I did feel that some sections were unnecessarily stretched out or repeated, which made certain parts feel a bit unnatural. I understand that “Hercule Poirot doesn’t run,” but even so, the character movement felt a little too slow for my liking. My biggest nightmare in this game is the facial animation of some characters. Some of them look like they could easily land leading roles in horror games. And while this could be forgivable, especially in other titles, for a 2023 release it was honestly a bit painful to look at at times. Despite these flaws, the game still managed to pull me into the mystery and keep me curious until the end. It’s a solid detective experience with an interesting presentation of a well-known story.
