AftLife -Girl and Cats, and Lost world-

It's not much of a game. I kept waiting for something to do, or literally any choice to make, but the only input the game requires is for you to click once on each "episode". Additionally, there are only 3 episodes which are only a few minutes long each. The language translation is pretty poor, but I still understood the gist of it. The art is pretty good. But it's not really enough to be called a game.

Developed and published by ryoheyLab. , AftLife -Girl and Cats, and Lost world- is an extremely short collection of short stories about a young girl Arisa and her talking cat Tis in the form of kinetic Novel. Whilst the game hints at a deeper storyline the game game hasn’t been updated in over three years and be consider abandoned by its developer, in addition the English translation is appalling and barely legible due to been filled with spelling errors and bad grammar. Whilst this is a free game it isn’t worth the 20 minutes of content and should be removed from steam due to low quality. [h1]Story [/h1] Barely hinted at, the plot consists of a poorly written, grammar abomination text if you’re an English speaker, essentially a young girl is living in a two room house with a talking cat and has never been outside. The cat handles the chores and cook and teaches the young girl about Japanese history in order to prepare her to live outside. My theory is that Arisa and Tis are artificial lifeforms and their creator has died leaving Tis to raise Arisa however so little useful information is in the 3 available chapters theres no way to confirm this. Given the games very generic writing I predict this would have been the twist if the developers had continued. [h1]Presentation[/h1] The character and background artwork is all over the place with different styles and qualities, the pencil drawings made sense in context and the character design was cute however the biggest offender the background image was awful in quality. The music quality is just a single song on repeat that you either mute or end up ignoring else it can result in you going a little stir crazy or sapping all the energy out of you due to its slow pace. [h1]Gameplay[/h1] Non existent, its a short kinetic novel with no features. Visual novel , slice of life

When I downloaded this game, I was expecting to play some sort of crappy story about a girl cat life tjat I heard one hundreds time before. But to my amazement. what I found was a deep intlectual tail of friendships and coming to age. Though the'r're not many chapters, what I seen made me excited for updates in soon. So heres story. Very curious child Arisa is living in a small house with her talking cat Tis. Tis is very strict but they love each other anyways. BOth characters are very interestong and have many heartwarming moments. I think the story is very cool and gripped me from the start. The art is very very cool and I wish every game could have the level of detail put into this game by the developers. The game is really only a demo right now but I am hopeful for future updates. I think that everyone who isn't Japanese should play this game as a way to experience our culture. Especially Africans. I have a African friend who moved into Kyoto from Mali 1 month ago and he is having a hard time getting used to our culture. I give him games to play like this one so he can enjoy and learn about Japan. I will be sure to get Souleymane to play this one. In conclusion, even though this game is very short in its current state I would be happy to subscribe to a patreon in hopes of supporting the devolper in his/hers progress on this game. If you love stories or gaming in general, I would definitely recommend picking this one up. Enchanting drawings, enthralling plot, and dialogue with affliction are all things that this game has to offer. What do you have to loose by downloading this? It's free!! 9/10

decent for the 3/12 chapters i believe that are available. art is nicely done and the story seems to flow decently. I along with a lot of other reviewers, have noticed the English translation errors. they don't bother me as much as they should and they quite frankly made my read through more enjoyable. however it would be nice to polish up the translation, and i assume they will over time. all in all a solid 7.5/10 for me.
