this game make my head spin the tutorels do nothing ive tride and tried again i just cant figure this game out, i wish that on options there was a controls option so i could actuly get something done with this game, becouse when there is like 30 bottons on the schreen and you have no clue what any of them do you need something in the tutorels that can help out with whet botton dose what, and a controls option so i can actuly play the game.

Useless tutorial, unexplained terminology, graphically painful to look at ... Looking forward to my refund.

Das ist wohl das heftigste Strategiegame, das ich jemals gespielt habe... Das Grundprinzip ist Simpel. Jeder Sector produziert 3 verschiedene Angriffs/Verteidigungs-Resourcen, nämlich 1., Flotte, 2., Sicherheit und 3., Einfluß. Mit diesen Resourcen nimmt man den Kampf um mindestens einen anderen Sektor auf - der stärkere Gewinnt. Dabei gibt es schon bei der Rassenerstellung derart viele Einstellungsmöglichkeiten, daß man da wohl - grob über dem Daumen geschätzt - mehrere Millionen Rassen zur Verfügung hat. Und jede Einstellung hat Bedeutung. Das ganze zieht sich durch das komplette Game durch, Einstellungen über Einstellungen. Dadurch traut man sich Anfangs gar nicht, mal irgendetwas anzufangen, bei sovielen Buttons. Das Tutorial aber schafft schnell und effizient abhilfe. Die Tutorials muss man einfach Schritt für Schritt durchlaufen, erst dann macht die Quick-Hilfe Sinn, sich damit detailiertere Informationen zu holen. Das Game weiter zu beschreiben macht wenig Sinn. An alle Hardcore-Strategen - ZUGREIFEN! Für die paar Euros ist nicht viel verloren, aber das Teil mit gerade mal 130 MB stellt alles in den Schatten, was ich bisher kannte. Hier ist Denken angesagt.

At first, you get lost in all those numbers and abstraction. You also grasp the basics, play on Easy, and doing to at your own pace and with no unavoidable conflict, you win without much problem. You grasp more and more intrincacies, and begin playing on higher levels, with unavoidable conflict and AI actually declaring wars. And it becomes a drug. Can spend hours mixmaxing every index and percentage to the limit, and miserably failing in the proccess. While from outside everything seems automated, it's not… There are tons of aspects to tweak, both at game creation and after, and missing one of them at the wrong time can mean doom. Sure such gameplay is not for everyone. I however, are enjoying utterly every minute of this. So had to give it a thumbs up. AtE is a hell of an overlooked gem. A shame the devs went bankrupt, because I'd love and gladly pay to see much more of this.

UI is unplayable on 4k and there is no resolution option. Even for an indie game this is unacceptable today.

i hate this game. wheres the controls? wheres my fleet? i want to control my army edit: lol fanbase sucks. i get a comment every 5 minutes complaining about ths review so -6/10

The core game loop is pretty boring. Almost plays like a toy. Can't recommend it. But if you're looking for interesting game concepts to see in action give it a try? Everything is automated except for the declaration of war, so all you're doing is choosing who to declare war on and waiting. There are three types of war, why? I guess variety and strategy but honestly it you steamroll properly it doesn't matter much.

There's an elegance about the game that you just don't find in other 4x. The mechanics are simple to use, work in a way that makes it difficult to ruin your empire, but has enough depth that once you understand the systems you have a lot of room for strategic growth.

I ended up refunding this game, but not because it is bad. It is because the game was designed for a market I am not in, as well as most people who see this title pop up on steam. Distant Worlds: Universe or Stellaris, re games which can take over 20 hours to play one game, with gameplay that is an interlocking system of values that is big and complex. This game is not that. Although I did not finish a full game, I imagine one can take under 5 hours, if that. It is also quite simple in its mechanics, though it still has a lot of depth in said mechanics. I can imagine this being a great game for those who want a grand strategy that can thouroughly learned quickly, and does not take long to beat a match. However, those looking for an epic game that takes days or even weeks to beat, with tons of values, units, and other s**t, will not find it here.

A small and simple game. It is not my kind of game, but there are certainly people out there that can appreciate such games. The mechanics are different than your usual game. That is what is good about these designers, they innovate and try something new, getting out of the conventions of the typical game. Try it, you can always ask for a refund if it is not your kind of game. It is certainly worth trying.
