I have no idea what I just played for an hour. It looks promising. A player told me that we have to wait until December 1st for a new game version. Will be back then, I guess.
I tried to take a bite, and the game was not only raw, but still cold, so I nearly lost my teeth. This game has so many issues that I woul need lots of lines to talk about all its issues, but instead, I'll keep it short because I don't want to repeat myself. The game has still parts of it that are not fully translated to english, with either spanish message showing up, or the code of the message showing up. The gameplay is atrocious somehow, with odd keybindings and control choices in the game, like having to aim a spell or bow shot. Interface doesn't really follow a standard, with the inventory interface requiring you to press E with a equipment selected to equip/unequip it, or pressing U over a consummable to use it. You can't simply double click those items to equip/use them, but that's how you learn new spells. That's just one of the interface issues. The game asks you to verify your account when you first create it, in order to be able to create more than one character, but the game doesn't let you know how to do that. I only managed to find that out by clicking My Account, and clicking a button named something that doesn't say "Verify Account", which stays even after verification. Spell casting and ranged gameplay is clunky because of the aiming system. If the target is right next to your character, the game might think you're trying to use it on yourself, and fail if it's a offensive spell (I don't know if you can attack yourself in PvP though). Also speaking of spells, they are disappointing and feel weak, compared to the mana cost. A healing spell I found restored less than 1/5 of my character health, while leaving the mana bar under half of it. Simply using food to regen health overtime was more worth it than using that spell. The PvE of the game is boring. Not only grinding monsters, whose have absurdly high aggro range, is tedious, but also the game has a boring music playing on loop on the background, which slowly suck away your will of keeping on doing quests in the game. The way the game is right now, maybe only those who got to play Argentum Online might get engaged with it, but its many problems will definitely be a turn off. As for modern players, this game will probably not catch their attention, even more if they accidentally skip the tutorial like I did. As is right now, I don't recommend the game. Try at your own risk, unless maybe you're a diehard fan of Argentum Online. As for me, I never knew that game existed, so you can see I'm not involved with that game. If you skipped the tutorial, open the game options and check your Keybindings, they're like one of the best guides you can have outside of it. And if you're trying to find out how to restore mana, press V, instead of F6, because that's the correct key for meditation.

Do not event bother. worst game ever. 12 players on the entire game and 5 of them are trolling on spawn doing body blocking making you unable to move. NICE DESIGN.
Warning: Third Party Account This game requires you to create a third party "Own database" account... there's no valid reason for this in a PC game when SteamWorks is available. This is often done to harvest private data and profile you, with potential sale and transmission of your private data to third parties. The developers will probably argue that you can trust them, but if they were trustworthy they wouldn't demand you create a third party account. This represents a considerable risk to gamers due to the privacy and security implications of developers that wish to bypass Steam and harvest user data. Remember, sometimes if the product is free, YOU are the product.

Note: Dead multiplayer game This game contains no meaningful single player content. There's no players, no populated servers. This multiplayer-only game cannot be played as intended.
This was a dismally failed attempt to make a ripoff of Argentum Online (itself barely, if at all successful) and is the pinnacle of game design from Argentina. Unfortunately it's garbage. So, "AESIR Online" is a dead multiplayer game. Why did it fail? It's video game autopsy time! The chief cause of failure is the developer thinking that their game will "go viral" without actually creating any reason for it do so. Competition amongst multiplayer centric games is extreme, and there's only a finite player base to appeal to. This game failed to reach any kind of critical mass and died as a result. Let's go into some of the reasons this particular game failed to appeal to gamers, despite the zero up front cost. This features really godawful pixelcrap "art" instead of real graphics. It's hard to say if this was because the developer didn't have the skill to do the job of creating 3D visuals, or couldn't afford to hire someone who does, but it also doesn't matter. What matters is that this looks much worse than most other games because of that decision, and that's a major deterrent to gamers. Games like Terraria and Stardew Valley succeeded despite the bad graphics, not because of them. You're forced to sign a highly questionable yet legally unenforceable End User License Agreement... for such a relatively low effort, low quality product, this comes across more as a delusion of grandeur than anything else. This agreement includes questionable requirements that may attempt to revoke consumer law protections that gamers expect to have, which is also highly problematic. Developers must learn they are here to serve gamers, not control them. I had my cat walk over the keyboard while the EULA was displaying, which fixed that problem for me. On pricing, this is "free" enough, at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good, and the cost of a game is more than just financial, your time is valuable too. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Nope. This isn't worth downloading. There's no financial cost up-front, but you'd still be spending your time and a little hard drive space on a product that's far from the best. There's thousands of better alternatives on Steam.
Pretty fun so far.....but half the time it doesnt register my spell hitting the dang enemy.....the hitboxes are whack
Re-review: The connection stability has been addressed and for the most part fixed but the server still has short lag spikes at random . . . After putting a few more hours into the game I see that there are still a wide assortment of things that remain in the games native language after setting English as primary. Classes are exorbitantly unbalanced, and the combat for melee and magic feels lethargic. ____________________________________________ Moderately fun. The primary issue(s) I see thus far is connection stability, and language translation or lack there of in several areas. There is an English option, but after selected you will find things like tutorials, quest: story line(s), item descriptions etc in the games native language. When kiting enemies you must aim your cursor in front of the targets trajected path instead of "on" the target to accurately hit it. Will update review after December patch.
The Aesir online is undoubtedly the evolution and the best successor of the mythical Argentum online, a simple game but with challenging mechanics that offers an entertaining and frenetic PVP combined with its full loot system, make this game engaging from the first adventure
