A good point&click with a couple of HOG elements. + longer than 8h + beautiful scenes + animated cutscenes + HOG scenes + camera rotation + no gameplay bugs + light interesting story + many puzzles + 2-3 harder puzzles than the rest + no hints required - bugged achievements - not Collector's Edition - cutscenes not in HD - repeatable puzzles - one music for every puzzle - cancerous penultimate kaleidoscope puzzle
This game was overall good. It had pros and cons. The game play was largely a standard HOG. One nice thing was that some points allowed for panning around, which I haven't seen in a HOG. It gave it a bit of a Myst feel and was fun. I often don't care about the story, but I liked the story in this one. There were a few minor glitches in the mini puzzles, which was annoying, but not enough for me to give it a thumbs down. In fact, there were a few things that annoyed me, but they were all minor from my perspective. The thing that annoyed me the most was the interaction with active areas. The cursor never changes. Instead, an active area either shows an obvious glimmer and/or has a puzzle piece floating above it. Except for objects you can pick up show nothing, so you have to click around. They did it well. You won't find yourself clicking on every pixel, but I prefer the standard approach most HOGs take. Also, I like to find the subareas I can zoom in on myself, not have an indicator on the area as soon as I arrive. Another con were the hidden object scenes which were extremely basic. Just a short list of things to click on. There was only one that I recall where you even needed to interact with anything (other than clicking) in order to find things. Another annoying thing was the text that they gave. It added nothing - was just a recap of what had just happened. Useless. Last thing was I don't think there was a map, but I don't recall that bothering me. A pro was the game was long. There wasn't a bonus game, yet it took me 7 hours, even though I skipped probably at least 7 or 8 puzzles.

Good fun game. Currently enjoying it with my daughter. A great hidden object gem with a nice store line.
good title
One of the best games of this genre.
Has some issues with the in-game collectables and Steam achievements. Unfortunately as this is no longer sold on Steam I doubt if this will ever be corrected. Enjoyed the puzzles which had a mix of the standard hidden object scenes and refreshing new concepts. Good story and graphics. Voice acting well done.
This game is so boring I would never recommend it!
