Acro FS is a recreational, stick-and-rudder flight simulator for high-performance aerobatic aircraft. Practice your routine, race against the clock, or just get up there and fly - the checklist is done and the engine is running.

it was good but a couple days ago it stoped working and popped up with (Error initializing directx 11. Please make sure directx is up to date ) ive tryed reinstalling it and it still does not work
From a pilot this is a great start! Detail is very good, just needs (lots) more work. I hope that will come, I had a little trouble with jerky xbox controller. A plane like these should be solid and sure with a little movement. If you ever wanted to race planes, try this.
Disappointing, but has promise. Being a real world acro pilot, I was very excited when I saw this. That being said, I was very let down when I played. It feels like an up-scaled RC airplane simulator. The physics aren't quite right, and all the aircraft fly the same, with modified rates. Spin characteristics are horrendous, you're unable to tumble any of the aircraft (biggest disappointment, because tumbles are some of my favorite maneuvers.) There is no damage model. If you ding the airplane it just makes a fake, plastic sound, like you dropped Tupperware on the kitchen floor. Being unable to pan the view makes it impossible to use your aircraft's sighting device, and the HUD is quite difficult to use to establish any sort of vertical or 45 line. However, the roll physics are the best of any acro aircraft I've flown in sims. The stop is precise with little to no inertia (not true to real life, but good for precise stops in a sim,) but the ailerons are too effective at low airspeed or high AOA. I was also excited that the physics in a torque roll or tail-slide are correct, and you do experience control reversal. Overall, if you're a real world pilot who is interested in acro, this is probably the best sim you can find as far as physics are concerned, except maybe for the DCS christen eagle. However, it requires a lot of work still. 3.5/10 for me. Being that this was released in May of 2018, and after reading reviews I don't feel anything has been done to improve the simulation, I cannot recommend this to anyone who is looking for a true flight simulator, but I'd recommend it as a good game to pass some time here and there.

Its Interesting... & its free, but I can`t really recommend it at this stage. It is EXTREMELY Basic. (Its the first flight Sim I`ve come across, where the planes don`t have flaps... ...at all). Its snappy enough, and the controls are responsive, But the flight envelope feels arcade-ish, and not very realistic. Then we come to the scenery.. There`s just nothing to look at. The scenery is your runway, a few hangars/buildings, and (for some reason), a solar farm. Airport, Ground, Sky... and thats it. It looks just too much like one of the many free IOS flying games at the moment. Refine the flight physics, refine the controls (Flaps?), add moar scenery... add more planes. Thanks for making it free in EA, but know that I wouldn`t buy it, in its current state. Nothing personal, but it just didn`t float my boat. I regularly fly in Aerofly, DCS, X-Plane 11 and BOS and they all set a very high standard to beat, so maybe I`m a little spoiled in this respect, but I can`t help but compare any new sim to them. JFI:- I have a 3 screen set up. (One 4k monitor with two 1080 monitors either side). When I ran this game, it left my screen setup in disarray, which was quite irritating. It ran in the 4k screen ok, but at a low resolution. Upon exiting, It LEFT the pc in the lower resolution, (HUGE icons everywhere, lol), and juggled with my screen positioning. Not the end of the world, - but irritating.... Edit:- Having spent a little more time in this, I`m actually going to do something I rarely do, and that`s change my recommendation. It does still suffer from all the faults I`ve mentioned, it needs refinement and more content... but... in VR, it doesn`t crash, it runs smoothly and most importantly, it IS fun. I`ve also looked at it set up correctly in 4K resolution and it looks a hundred times better. Its still not up to the standards of the other sims I mentioned, but it is free so I think I`d be churlish not to recommend it really.

this brings me great memories from Flight unlimited by looking glass. a sim all about aerobatic aircraft. I even remember where a decathlon would tow you in an aerobatic sailplane in sedona arizona, Knife edge can make that happen again! Obviously it being in Early access does have some bugs but this has huge potential. Multiplayer racing and flying would be amazing. Being a tailwheel rated pilot and having done some aerobatics I am really looking forward to watching this develop. The groundhandling is good (not perfect but still good for early access) The flight dynamics are really good in how sharp the controls feel. i have a saitek x-55 rhino paired to some saitek rudder pedals. it feels real. the only thing I think needs a little more work is the aggresivness of a stall spin situation. I have owned Knife edges simulator sin RF 3.5 and as of now some of the flight dynamics feel a little bit like theyre RC sim (Which I must say is top notch for rc models) still. I would recommend this to anyone. I would like to see Track IR compatibility and be able to use the joystick to look around like you would a normal flight sim.
its pretty good, graphics are nice and you can play it with basically any controller (i use a g29 steering wheel for crying out loud lol)
Still haven't seen any updates yet. Needs more settings in the flight control dept. Sensitivity, trim adjustments etc for the axis and button or key controls. Has key controls to kill the engine, How about something to start it too? Keyboard key settings are locked. Can't change them to your own liking. Needs some control on the POV hat switch. Has something for Up & Down but doesn't do anything. More controls for the joystick buttons. Still glitches a little. Needs more scenery besides a barren desert in Borrego Springs. How about some canyon flying or barn storming. C'mon guys get off your duffs and finish up this game. It could be a great game.
Nice game that is three things of note. Free, Dead (no longer in development) and Fun! I was looking for a decent game allowing acrobatic planes, and this one works. Just wanted to let folks know that this is playable easily in Linux and on Steam Deck. You will need to modify the steam deck controller to access any of the keyboard commands as these are not able to be changed, and if you can use a keyboard and mouse on the first launch, you can set the controller to navigate the menus normally. You'll want to map F3 and F4 (Really all of the function keys if you can as they control camera angles.) F1 - Fixed camera like an RC plane F3 - F4 - Cockpit and Chase modes. Really good for what it is. I received this product for free. (This product is free for anyone now in 2024)
cant press start, no keybinds
