Based on a true story, Acorn Cop is a meme game where you shoot all the acorns, but do NOT shoot any human or other living things. Enjoy and collect easter egg items. Can you do just that for 20 minutes?

"Acorn Cop" is a garbage tier joke game (the developers admit this is not sincerely made, a "meme") based on an incident in the USA where acorns fell on a police car and the officer mistook it for gunshots and took an evasive maneuver. I can't really make fun of the cop for that, given the likelyhood in the USA that any loud noise is gunfire. These meme joke game is garbage polluting Steam. What do you do in the game? All you do is click on your screen to "shoot" various 2D sprites, some of which are acorns, some are not. That's seriously all there is to this. I thought joke games were supposed to be at least mildly funny. The game features really lacklustre 2D visuals (does the developer not know 3D graphics became mainstream in the mid-1990s?), and it looks like a garbage Flash gamem only worse. Gamers don't spend thousands of dollars on gaming rigs and the latest 3D graphics cards to play 2D games. Even mobile phones and game consoles can do 3D graphics now. There's no excuse. The gameplay is even shallower than the visuals... in terms of technical assessment, this is a failure. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. They have their hand out for a $9 USD "donation" for this as you're expected to give them money from buying empty DLC from Steam... digital panhandling. Like the homeless guys who splash dirty water on your windscreen at the traffic lights. No thanks. A peak of 4 concurrent players (according to SteamDB) for a "free" game is a disastrous public reception. Out of 130 million potential players here on Steam, almost nobody was interested. Even though this is "free". That level of rejection speaks a lot for the quality of the game. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? What's the verdict? Nope. I didn't have to pay for this, but I still feel like I got scammed. Note: Joke reviews Because this is more of a "joke" game, intended to draw attention from controversy or in the hopes of going viral because it's "so bad it's good" (but it isn't good at all), there's nothing here to offer to serious gamers. As usual, with most awful/joke games, all the comedians come out of the woodwork. The vast majority of the reviews for this game are joke reviews, mocking the game for just how bad it is. The comedians give us the usual "this game cured my cancer, saved my marriage, changed my life" story... sarcastic, but not useful if you want to know if the game is worth it. Because most of the reviews are as insincere as the game itself is, the positive review score for this game should not be considered an accurate representation of the quality of the game.
As an acorn, i can confirm we make cops go crazy.

Sip 'n' Savor: Acorn Cop takes you on a whimsical journey through a world where acorns are the main target, but it falls short of delivering a truly engaging experience. While it aims for light-hearted fun, its shallow gameplay and lack of depth make it a forgettable distraction rather than a memorable adventure. Milk Mustache Moment: Despite its attempts at providing a relaxing experience, Acorn Cop's simplicity borders on monotony. The novelty wears off quickly, leaving you searching for substance amidst the endless barrage of acorns. Roar Factor: While the humor in Acorn Cop tries to inject some charm into the experience, it often feels forced and fails to resonate. The game's attempts at comedy fall flat, leaving players craving more meaningful interactions and engaging gameplay. Bear's Bonus Honeycomb: Visually, Acorn Cop boasts a colorful and whimsical aesthetic that initially draws you in. However, its charming visuals can't mask the lack of depth in its gameplay mechanics, ultimately leaving players wanting more. Final Paw-sition: Acorn Cop may have its moments of amusement, but they're fleeting at best. With shallow gameplay and limited replay value, it's difficult to justify investing time into this forgettable meme game. Rating: 🐻🍯🍯🍯🍯 (4 out of 10)
