One of the best games I've ever played. There is no other game like abiotic factor. I really hope they decide to make Abiotic Factor 2.
I have not finished this game but it has some of the best level design of all time. Think Prey 2017. Every single new sector you unlock has a way of leaving you amazed by how different it is from previous sectors and how much more grand the levels become.
tl;dr I haven't played survival game so good in a while the good: gameplay, mechanics, systems all balanced and meaningful, I'm in awe given how shallow, casual and dumm modern games can be the bad: it's repeatable content, once you know, you know, and it looses chunk of it's charm, when you explore and figure things out the ugly: visual style.. I know it's deliberate Half-Life thing, and actually very well implemented, witch certain charm, just not my cup of tea, I'd love ABF to have bit more modernized approach, not saying fully modern, just with not janky or missing animations, some normal maps and... you know those things that were technically not there, but would be if tech would allow, when source was a thing it was always pushing for innovation and quality
Amazing game 10/10 infinite things to do very long game never get bored
The 'openworldsurvivalcraft' epidemic of the late 2010s had me extremely skeptical about picking up a game that seemed built upon that same basis. However Abiotic Factor manages to completely overcome all the genre fatigue by being extraordinarily tightly crafted from start to finish. The game world is entirely handmade and you can tell. The world design is smart, detailed, and respects the player's intelligence. The tonal shift across your adventure as you progress is absolutely incredible and the game confidently dips it's toes into humor, scares, and whimsy in well calculated doses. Progress feels significant, and is often immediately rewarding. With the 1.0 release an incredible amount of new content was added and I've probably spent 8 hours alone on the new pet companion mechanics. On occasion some grinding is required, however from my experience it is minimal and while resource availability is tied to the resetting of various levels that you have to wait for there are more than enough side activities, systems, and base building mechanics to keep you busy that you never feel like you're just sitting around waiting for a timer to run down. I almost wish I had waited for the 1.0 release to start the game, as I'm sure that the early and middle stages of the game have been tweaked. But as it stands I have 110 hours in my world with my friend and we haven't actually finished the main content yet, we are very close but not quite there. The game is incredible, I truly cannot recommend it highly enough. The devs did an amazing job, and continue to do an amazing job, I am very excited to keep following along with the roadmap and see what other experiences they're cooking up. Even if the game was entirely abandoned today and left in it's current state forever it would still be worth full asking price. Just do it, you won't regret it.
Excelente juego de suprevivencia, me recuerda mucho en algunos aspectos a project zomboid, y la ambientacion de halflife, supongo que sera lo mas cercano a un nuevo half life que tendremos
If you want an exceedingly large non repeating semi open world that's all handcrafted and doesn't have any wasted space to work your way through while dodging aliens, cultists, and stranger things, pick this game.

This is the best survival crafter I have ever played. I own it on multiple platforms. I force all of my friends to play it with me. I LOVE this game. I have replayed several times. I mainly play on console, but wanted to grab it on PC as well.
